State legislators have passed laws barring illegal immigrants from receiving government services,...

Oh, one other question: we tried to do this in CA about 10 years ago (prop 187) and it was shot down by a federal judge. AZ is now able to do this? If so, I want Prop 187 part deux.

imagine that. mexico has to deal with problems created by mexicans !!
Maybe they should build a fence.

Build a fence to keep their people out of Mexico? It doesn't take much imagination to figure out who gets to stay.

Earlier this year a delegation of nine legislators from Sonora toured Tucson and held a news conference to say that their beloved state cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools resulting from illegal Mexican workers returning home. (My emphasis)

With hundreds of thousand returning illegals with building trade skills, the lack of housing should be a non-issue.

Hey, Pedro----here's a going away present to help you over the border. A gallon of "tomato juice"---just drink it all in one gulp.

...the law’s undeniably positive effects include smaller class sizes...

I'll bet the Arizona branch of the NEA is going nuts. Their average daily attendance is down so they don't get as much of the taxpayer's money.

Mexico now has the richest man in the world, Senor Carlos Slim. Perhaps he can help with their problem. We Gringos are currently short of money.

>>Is this what your were thinking?? :-)

Well, I was basically thinking along the lines of suggesting that she insert them rapidly into the aperture at the terminus of the alimentary canal, or something like that, with more dramatic and colorful words of course.

How does one say "cry me a fricking river" in Spanish?

There are millions of illegal Hispanics that could write it and speak it in Spanish and English....something you obviously cannot do. LOL!

I am astounded by the ignorance here. I wish Freepers could discuss this more in depth rather than reading the constant yahoo remarks so prevalent today.

I've explained before that it's common sense why the border States suffer the most by the influx of illegals into our country. To many, making it across the Southern border is the finish line. Why travel further into the country if the border States economy provides them the means to work?

Now that the recession is in bloom, and jobs are getting scarce, the government is getting more active in enforcement of immigration laws...example, Arizona. The election and the downturn translating into less tax revenue being collected give them the incentive to get off their ass and .....PANDER for votes.

So, as a result...many Hispanics go back to Mexico and settle in Sonora...THEIR border State. It's simple logistics.

Does everybody forget the people of Houston freaking out when the great unwashed from New Orleans were bussed to Texas? If Sonora could tell them to keep trucking South, they surely would do so.

The Recession is a freak benefit in helping the USA get rid of some of these illegals. Nobody needs framers and roofers when no homes are selling. And don't kid yourselves. THAT'S the MAIN reason Sonora is bitching and moaning under the strain. Not Arizona's ratcheted enforcement.

You'd probably find that the majority of Sonora's new citizens are not coming back from Arizona but rather inland States.

*There are millions of illegal (Mexicans) that could write it and speak it in Spanish and English*

Not the ones who live 1 to 100 miles from the border.
You live several hundred miles from the border.
I live 15 miles north from Tijuana.
San Diego has tens of thousands of illegals, and including the legals, the vast majority into three generations here don’t and won’t speak English.

Thanks to them using our education system for a few yrs here and there and leaving when they are 16 it is costing my city and county tens of millions of dollars we don’t have a year.So approx 1,000 teachers here have received pink slips
as have others in Calif.

The Recession is a freak benefit in helping the USA get rid of some of these illegals.

Prayers never seem to be answered directly the way we pray. But we are always grateful for God's answers in the way he sees fit. In his wisdom, he is punishing not only the illegals but those who granted unworthy loans to them. They will fall along with the indecent loans they made. For the love of money is the root of all evil.

Representative Russell Pearce, says the law’s undeniably positive effects include smaller class sizes, shorter emergency room waits and an overall huge savings to taxpayers.

I’m braced...go ahead and tell me the downside.
