Some superdelegates say they are being bombarded by requests to back one of the Democratic U.S. presidential hopefuls before the party's convention in August.
As a superdelegate, Debra Kozikowski, the vice chairwoman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, is among nearly 800 Democratic Party leaders and elected officials likely to decide whether Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton will be at the top of the party's ticket, USA Today reported Friday.
"Until America has (its) say, I'm going to wait to have mine," she said. "I don't want voters ... to feel as though superdelegates are sweeping down and making the decision for them."
In Pennsylvania, which holds its primary April 22, superdelegates there say they feel little pressure to end the primary battle between Clinton and Obama before the last primaries on June 3, the newspaper reported.
Sen. Joseph Biden, the Delaware Democrat who abandoned his presidential bid in January, said there is no rush to end the primary battle.
"There's absolutely no urgency for any superdelegates ... to worry about closing this thing down," Biden said.
Biden, a superdelegate, said enthusiasm among Democrats is high.
"That's good stuff, man," he said. "When people vote in the primary, that is the surest sign they're going to vote in the general election."
Maybe they need a Weatherman to see which way the wind blows?
Biden is beyond embarrassing.
I wish we could listen in on Clinton campaign headquarters. What’s Alley Cat Bill doing these days, I wonder.
Now that Moonbats took control they don't like that plan.
When Hildabeast looks like the sane half of the party you know they are in serious trouble!
well, they could borrow obamama's "Weatherman"
More like they want to see how much their vote will fetch on eBay. Unfortunately for them PayPal doesn't currently handle interns as a form of payment.
yep = more republicans are - who are now seeing what a disaster either of the dimRat candidates and the dimParty would be.
Hopefully, more people are looking at this whole fiasco of their campaign, still going on months after the Republican primary is over and we're back to business and realize: "If this is how they run a campaign within their own ranks, if this is how the obamama 'unites' (even last nite, flipping the bird at Hitlery, like a punk 12 year old) = people have to be asking: "How on earth can we let these people run the country!"
...
I'm a gramma 15 x's over, and this is probably the most dangerous and crucial election for our country I have ever seen.
When Hildabeast looks like the sane half of the party you know they are in serious trouble! So true. The dimowits are in trouble now. McCain is the luckiest guy since Ringo Starr.
Now why in the world would any Superdelegate give up a moment of perks or spotlight just because the DNC wants this free for all to end. Why shouldn’t they take full advantage of the situation they are in? Votes to the highest bidder of course.
“McCain is the luckiest guy since Ringo Starr.”
We could have won easily with a real conservative!
Idiot Joe trying and failing to sound cool.
Actually, I think a superdelegate would be foolish to close out his options now, when the race is a virtual death-match. Far smarter from the party's point of view to wait until the convention, and after the first ballot just throw in with everybody else voting their personal preferences.
