6th Annual Rally for the Troops will be held on Sunday April 20, 2008 at 11:00 PM in downtown Cleveland’s Public Square.

Free Parking at Tower City Parking lots. Last year an estimated 5000 motorcyclist attended the Rally. Bikes will stage at 8:30 AM from Cleveland Harley Davidson Sales Company (W145 and Lorain), Lake Erie Harley Davidson (Avon Ohio); South East Harley Davidson (Bedford Hts. Ohio) and Western Reserve Harley Davidson (Mentor Ohio).

Bikes will depart for downtown Cleveland at 9:30 AM. Jim Mantel of WGAR will MC the Rally and Monica Robins of WKYC will sing the National Anthem.

The Rally will honor the families of Ohio’s Fallen Heroes and all veterans who have served our country. The event will take place regardless of the weather. Post Rally food and entertainment will be at Cleveland Harley Davidson Sales Company at W145 and Lorain from 12:30 to 3:00 PM.

A man (with his wife and teenage daughter) came into the candle shop where I work. The man showed me a FORT BRAGG I.D., and said that he had just returned from a year in Iraq. Without hesitation, I thanked him for his service, told him that I supported him and the troops, and gave him my 50% employee discount — it was the least that I could do.

He is 83 & bent over with osteroporosis & I will have two big dogs with partriotic neck scarfs..

we are leaving church early to get there.

Hi.. I took 269 pix beween the rally & then following at the Harley Davidson at 145th/Lorrain afterward for lunch. Here are a couple pix.. Will maybe post more tomorrow/later.. Lowest attendance I can recall. Guess the weather was a factor. My pups did NOT like the 21 gun salute following the reading of the dead from Ohio in the war.

Honor flight was the recipient of the monies raised thru sale of various items & donations.

Hi Dolly! A friend called earlier and said the rally was on at least 2 of the local stations for the 6:00 news.

She said they were reporting about 6000 people were there. Thanks for being there. Give Wheelbarrow a hug for me.

But it is gorgeous.

I have 3 friends who are into classic/old cars. VERY expensive hobby.
