Khaled Mashaal, the leader of Palestinian militant group Hamas, has said their organization would be willing to offer Israel a 10-year truce if Israel were to remove itself from the lands it seized during the 1967 Middle East War.
Mashaal has said he made the offer on Saturday while speaking with former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and while the Hamas leader hinted that a Palestinian state would be limited to the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem there was no outright declaration that they would recognize Israel.
During Carter’s talk with Mashaal the Hamas leader said his organization would not look to block a peace deal between Palestinian President Moahmoud Abbas and Israel so long as Palestinians favored the deal.
Israel has not responded to Mashaal and view Hamas as the United States does, a terrorist organization. Israel has recognized that a Palestinian state should exist they have never expressed a willingness to return to the borders created prior to 1967.

I think that Hamas is serious about border reform. They want to dissolve the borders Israel now shares with its Arab neighbors and reform them on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

There will be no fighting for ten years. Anyone who wishes to join Muhammad (SAW) and to enter into any agreement with him is free to do so. Anyone who wishes to join the Quraish and to enter into any agreement with them is free to do so.
I’ve got a better plan.
Israel should seize a 2-mile wide security strip along the Gaza border, clear it, and fence it, and then offer Hamas a 10-year truce. If Hamas violates the truce, they take another 2-mile wide strip, clear it and fence it. And then repeat the offer.
As many times as it takes until they get the message, or they’ve been pushed into Egypt.

As soon as Israel goes back to its pre-1967 borders, Hamas and all of Isreal's other enemies will start bombarding it with rockets.
The only time that Islamists aren’t advancing violent jihad is when they are LOSING (or their target population is simply capitulating).

Uh, Israel has already given up most of those lands; Abbas runs most of the so-called West Bank, and Hamas runs the Gaza strip. Syria won’t be getting back the Golan Heights. I love the “bargaining” Hamas offers — “give us everything we want, and in exchange, give us something else we want.”
