POLYGAMIST RANCH
The Dallas Morning News ^ | 4-23-08 | Robert T. Garrett and Karen Brooks

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The first of more than 400 children taken from a polygamist compound boarded buses Tuesday bound for 16 emergency shelters, children's homes and foster care agencies throughout the state, including two in North Texas.

As the buses rolled out, the children eagerly waved and smiled at television cameras. Lawyers inside the San Angelo Coliseum who were meeting with their adult or child clients said authorities allowed no one in or out while the children, 114 of them by day's end, were loaded onto the buses.

“the children will be returned in due course”

It’s too late; a done deal. The children are doomed to be destroyed by the state, ripped from their mothers, and dumped in foster homes where people are paid by you and me to abuse and exploit them.

Are you for rounding up all the children of teenage girls all over America who have been impregnated by older men? If not, why not.

Read that article earlier. They go through this stuff every now and then, and the rumor travels throughout the whole of the continent in no time thanks to radio.

The core of the COTFB (Church of the First Born) congregations that I'm most interested in relocated to Alaska in the 1930s. Due to the shortage of women they apparantly had to compete for attention and in recent times seem to have forgotten most of their most ancient breeding customs.

I'm just guessing the F(lds) would be out of the polygamy business in less than a generation if they were relocated to the Tanana Valley to grow cabbages.

I think it waaay worse not to even know which woman in the compound is your mother!

That's but one reason why CPS couldn't let any of the children go back to their hellhole of a home.

You're using the word "teenager" when the topic of conversation is "underage female".

No, we are not supporting the idea of rounding up all the 19 year old "adult" pregnant women.

Do you have any concept of brainwashing? That’s what they do to these children, teaching them they have to marry and obey these old men, against their will, virtually making them slaves. That is different than teens in a free society getting pregnant of their own volition. It is standard operating procedure to remove children from a home where the child is suspected to be abused. They do not remove the abusive parents from the home. Charges against any abusive parents are pending.

Whoa. Slow down.

I don't think I have received so many exclamation points in a post in a long time.

When the story first broke, we were lied to and continue to be lied to. But the way the authorities are handling this is horrible beyond belief!

I think the state of Texas has been brave, courageous, and has done a wonderful job given the circumstances of this mess. The citizens of Texas didn't create this monster. Don't shoot the messenger. If you want instant justice, or demand to know which child should be reunited with which mother - it can't be done right now. Even the FLDS mothers say they don't know which children are theirs. That is the reason for the judge ordering the DNA testing.

The state of Texas is being demanded to become King Solomon overnight. That is totally unreasonable when even the woman cannot tell authorities who their own children are.

Why didn’t they round up all the MEN?!

A very good question. The reason is evidence, and the law. Evidence is being gathered right now with interviews of the children and the mothers who will talk. Texas and CPS are being criticized for acting outside the law - and now you accuse them for not acting quickly enough. They really can't win.

And the “abused girl” who started it all is a 33 year old nut job who is known for filing false reports.

That has been proven to be completely false by the Associated Press. Read this FR Link.

Excerpt:

AP is the party that got the affidavit unsealed and this is on the AP website: "The false-reporting charge against Swinton stems from a February 911 call from a woman calling herself "Jennifer." The document said she claimed her father had locked her in her basement for days.....NOTE: JENNIFER not SARAH!

Planned Parenthood aborts the evidence of older men getting teenage girls pregnant and society turns a blind eye and deaf ear.

Abortion is sinful and wrong. That is a different subject than the fate of these children, and the FLDS cult.

It is evil evil evil to take these children away from their mothers. What on earth is happening here?

Baloney. What we do know (and this is even acknowledged by the FLDS) is that the mothers would allow their 13, 14, or 15 year old girls (not women you see) to be entered into the "Joy Book" meaning they were eligible for "marriage."

Justify that. I dare you.

These children are going to be destroyed.

So shall it be written by you? You are not God. I came from an abusive family. I survived - I was not destroyed. You are not God to declare them destroyed.

This is monstrous! The men at the ranch volunteered to all leave if they would let the women and children return. But oh, no, the state has to show its muscle. This is sick and evil.

The "men" at that ranch have complete control over these women and girls. Volunteered to leave? That was boob bait for the bubbas. Texas already told their lawyers they could not permit the children to go back into that abusive environment. The "men" only made that PR claim of false chivalry through their lawyers when they knew darn well Texas wouldn't act on it.

I am just trying to understand you, so this is why I ask this question. Are you LDS Sandra?

Thanks in advance.

These children are going to be destroyed. Some will be abused and ruined in creepy foster homes.

Hmmmm I think we must disagree as I believe the FLDS are the abusers & creeps. I also think the judge is doing the best job she can with the pressure she is under. You do know some parents have fled so they don't have to give DNA? Ummm do you think that the reason might be that the children don't even belong to them? I sure do.

As other posters have already stated, and tried to explain, you must have missed all the discussions on the other threads, and the programs on TV, and the information on websites on the internet, and stories in newspapers and magazines.

CPS took the children because of a complaint, a history of arrests and convictions for SEX WITH A MINOR, and the fact that when they went in with the search warrant, they found girls as young as 14 who had CHILDREN.

If the WOMEN and CHILDREN at the FLDS compound had IDENTIFIED who the father’s of these CHILDREN born of CHILDREN were, they would have been arrested.

As it was, the women and children refused to identify the men, refused to give their names, didn’t know their own birthday, didn’t know who their birth mothers even were.

The children were taken into custody so the STATE could do DNA tests to determine who the ‘FATHERS’ were.

Once that is done, and the tests are returned to LE and CPS, there will be arrests.

This hasn’t yet been completed.

The children were removed from the compound to ENSURE that the men could not ABUSE or RAPE them WHILE the testing is going on.

If you really want to know what is going on, just type FLDS into the SEARCH FUNCTION of FREE REPUBLIC and it will show you all the threads that are pertinent, and you can read to your heart’s content, and will then be an INFORMED individual.

Right now, you are just embarrassing yourself by your comments.

Quote[From what I have heard a substantial amount of their money comes from welfare.]unquote

Apparently there is a $100million FLDS trust fund that has been systematically converted to build the compound.

If welfare could build that, why are the inner cities so rundown?/sarc

Why in the world would you make a generalization that “foster homes (are) where people are paid by you and me to abuse and exploit (children).”? That is so cruel. I do also wonder how you can protect those who promote 14, 15, 16 year old children having sex. That is child abuse, Sandra. Hate to be judging you, but this is weird.

Can someone tell me why they didn’t round up all the men? Cowards!

See my last post.

This reminds me of when the Nazis rounded up all the Jews and put them on trains - separating families because of their religious preference.

The FLDS culprits are not Holocaust victims. They are not victims - period. As to the Nazi reference, see Godwin's Law.

I thought it was interesting they dumped all the children in a “coliseum” - you know THUMBS DOWN to the religious people.

Now, you sound hysterical.

The nanny state has gone berserk!! I don’t care what any of you say.

Hold on there Saundra Duffy. It was the FLDS that took money from the "nanny state" through welfare fraud. Not me. Justify that.

Moreover, if you don't care what I say - then do not post to me.

And why do we allow teenage girls all over the U.S. to get pregnant by old geezers and noone cares?

Well, someone (the State of Texas and Child Protective Services) does care in this case - and you are ripping them a new orifice.

“It’s weird that all the people who keep whinging about “due process” and the constitution keep saying all the men should have been rounded up.” There’s that IRONY thing again.

And most of them have already convicted a woman who is not even charged with the crime of placing a prank call to Texas, with no evidence that she indeed placed that call.

It's like rain on your wedding day

"Ironic"

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

“If welfare could build that, why are the inner cities so rundown?”

(Rhetorical response)

Well, in the inner cities, each family doesn’t have 35 kids.

With income tax exclusions, and welfare payments monthly, that adds up to a tidy sum.

So, you agree the men have been having sex with minor girls? (or are you referring to something else as evil?)
So, in that case, since the mothers (or purported mothers—not sure yet whose a mom of whom) were there, and it was happening under their noses, do you think they are culpable?

So you think it’s OK for some old disgusting uncle or step father to get a teenage girl pregnant - no price to pay? Why is this situation any different? All over America, old creepy men are banging teenage girls and getting them pregnant.

And when CPS knows this, the DO in fact remove the girls and the men are charged.
