NEW ORLEANS Senator John McCain took direct aim at the Bush administration on Thursday as he stood in the lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, the area hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and declared that never again will a disaster of this nature be handled in the terrible and disgraceful way that it was handled.

Nope....he needs to ask where all the money went that the federal government has sent to NO for the last ten years. Then publicize it.

How is he wrong? The feds screwed the pooch on that one if, by nothing else, letting those incompetent hacks at the state and local level screw things up so badly.

EVERY time he opens his mouth I am confirmed in my inability to want to vote for him. Can’t do it. Won’t do it. Won’t vote for the beast or barry, but I’ll be damned if I will vote for this Bozo.

It's comforting to know he's on top of the situation after three years. He sounds like the socialists Democrats did in 2005. It's getting increasingly difficult for McCainiacs to support him.

How is he wrong?
He is attacking his own President, a man who has been offering him support. He is ignoring the fact that FEMA was never intended to be a first responder.
The feds screwed the pooch on that one if, by nothing else, letting those incompetent hacks at the state and local level screw things up so.
The feds have no authority under the US Constitution to keep states from screwing up. LA decided to deny federal access to New Orleans, they decided to ignore their own emergency plans, and they declined to keep their own levies in repair. In fact, they took the Federal $$ to build the levies, but shortcutted the specs endangering their own people. John McCain is ignoring the facts for personal gain.

"terrible and disgraceful way that it was handled" There are a few issues that identify someone as ignorant or evil. The Plame/Wilson/yellowcake affair is an example. Katrina is another.

I`m coming to the increasing conclusion that perhaps it is better that Hussein win in November.
McCain and his attempt to drag the Republican party back to the old days of being Rockefeller Republicans will have been proven a disaster and Conservatives will purge the GOP while Barry Hussein wrecks the economy, delivers the middle east to Iran and generally destroys all he
touches, guaranteeing the Democrats minority status for the next 30 years.

No. He told Nagin that he, like Brownie, was doing a heck of a job and let the feds ship more $ down there, not to mention moldy trailers and the rest.
Bush's response was, in fact, disgraceful.
