WASHINGTON, April 29, 2008 Coalition and Afghan forces killed two terrorists and detained four in operations April 27 targeting a known suicide-bomb and homemade-bomb handler in the Bati Kowt district ofAfghanistans Nangarhar province.
One Afghan security force member was killed during the operation. Coalition forces reported no casualties.
In other operations the same day, Afghan National Army commandos and Afghan National Police, alongside coalition forces, killed an undisclosed number of insurgents in Galuch village, in Laghman province.

The “success stories” of Afghanistan can be erased in the flash of an explosion if we don’t bring actions to cut off the support going to the local enemy whom we kill or capture in too small numbers and less frequently than productive..
More and more — I am coming to question the appropriateness of our strategy and recoil in horror at the expense in both blood and treasure to salvage the Islamic Republics of the Middle East....
It appears the Islamic Republics and Oil Cartels are having a more significant negative impact on our currency, markets, cost of living, military readiness and future prospects than we are having on theirs...
In my opinion — President Bush initiated the right war - but he didn’t correctly identify the enemy or attack the enemy’s heart...
This should NOT be called a war on terror — terror is only a tactic..
We are actually in a war against militant Islam — and all those Islamic Republics who support, finance, train and encourage the Jihadists.
We have yet to strike at he heart of the beast..
We are merely slicing off fingers.....
Ours is a strategy to fail..
