JERUSALEM – More pastor problems for Sen. Barack Obama?
The man slated to become chief pastor at the Trinity United Church of Christ has called blacks "lepers" with a "skin disease," claimed U.S. entertainment corporations operate with "disdain" for black people, and in a fiery sermon claimed retired pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright was "lynched" by the media and compared the embattled pastor to Jesus.
Otis Moss III, lauded this week by Obama as a "wonderful young pastor," also recently refused to deny claims by Wright that the U.S. government was involved in distributing illegal drugs to minorities or spreading the AIDS virus to blacks.
The 37-year-old Moss, nicknamed the "hip-hop pastor" by congregants, will become the head of Trinity Christ in June, taking over for Wright, whose controversial remarks landed Obama in hot water.
Following a series of national media interviews given by Wright last week, Obama strongly denounced some of Wright's statements as "divisive and destructive."
Wright had defended his views that the U.S. was to blame for the 9-11 attacks and referred to Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan as "one of the most important voices in the 20th and 21st century." Wright also quoted controversial Farrakhan remarks, such as his calling "Zionism" a "gutter religion."

We may not get to hear the boos from Trinity, but there are a lot of hardcore Wright sympathizers and Farrakhan lovers who are pretty disgusted with Obama right now. Of course, Obama did the right thing, although much too late, but there is some percentage of blacks who believe all of Wright’s nonsense and now see Obama as a traitor. Witness the Detroit NAACP worship of Wright; they held him up as they would MLK Jr. Now Obama has slapped all 10,000 of those fine upstanding Wright people. Is he just a politician? He threw a black icon under the bus! Along with his white Grandma, but they don’t care about that.
The “Keep Hate Alive” gravy train just keeps chuggin wright along..

If they want a black president they ought to keep a low profile and present a conventional pastoral image.
OTOH if they want to sabotage Obama's campaign they are going about it in exactly the right manner.
Quaere why they would they want to sabotage.
It seams that they have a really good deal going in Chicago inciting black victimology to bring in massive contributions, Enough to bestow a 10k square foot home on a retiring pastor and equip him with two very expensive cars and a huge line of credit.
Having a black president undermines the whole black victimology schtick, not only for them but for the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
OTOH, getting a likeable, intelligent and articulate black close enough to the goal that he can practically taste it and then have it snatched away tends to raise the tide of black alienation upon which they float.
