Comrade: Commies coming?

You bet your babushka, baby. But now, the red menace is kind of green.

NEW YORK - The decor inside the national headquarters of the Communist Party USA, or CPUSA, is more Macy's than Marx. Glass walls rise from the floor to form state-of-the-art work spaces, nontoxic linseed oil burnishes the work surfaces, and biodegradable blue carpet is underfoot. Colorful paintings by the renowned artists Boris Taslitzky and Alejandro Romero, depicting the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps and working-class struggle, dot the walls of the expansive open-plan office. Inside their transparent cubicles, the 21-strong staff tap away on Apple Macs and sip Starbucks coffee.

This is what class warfare looks like in the 21st century.

In February, the CPUSA officially unveiled its newly refurbished office space in the trendy Chelsea district of Manhattan. The Reds went "green" for their $1 million overhaul, including various environmentally conscious features in the design.

The truth does get spoken until the very end.

But away from the rah-rah spirit at headquarters and a few chatty leftist corners of the Internet, a CPUSA revival is viewed as, well, unlikely.

"As a historian, I don't usually feel comfortable about predicting the future," says John Earl Haynes, an author on domestic communism. "However, in this case, I'm confident in saying that the CPUSA has absolutely no future in the country."

I wish they didn’t have a future but 2 of 3 candidates are essentially communists. We have stars claiming on prime time that Stalin was simply misunderstood and wasn’t such a bad guy. Complacency will be our downfall.

" 'When I first joined the movement in 1999, there were no young people. That's not true anymore'...'We're part of a new generation,' Delgado says. 'The younger people are re-evaluating our presence and how we put ourselves forward.' "

God help my generation...I read this article, and I am heartbroken for my peers, but more for my country. I think about the countless soldiers who have given their lives for this country and for the promotion of our freedom, security and Democracy and those who are currently fighting terrorism abroad. I weep for those soldiers daily, and going into the Army myself, I pray that those in my generation learn to appreciate the sacrifices made by others and recognize the value of liberty.

Visit many schools, and it is common to see students standing for the pledge, but rarely reciting it. Often, I am the lone patriot, reciting the pledge on my own amidst my peers. Where has the pride and Patriotism gone?

See: MichaelMoore.com-->Links-->PoliticalAction (bottom of the page)

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

Precisely! This is exactly why on Earth Day I always remind the sheeple: “Happy Lenin’s Birthday” (coincidence or not).

Isn't it amazing, Earth and Lenin were both born on April 22.

Vladimir Lenin
Владимир Ильич Ленин
Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars
In office: November 8, 1917 – January 21, 1924

Born April 22, 1870

Profession Politician, revolutionary

". . . on April 22, 1970, Earth Day was held, one of the most remarkable happenings in the history of democracy. . . "

Founded on Lenin's 100th birthday? --yeah, it's a "coincidence". LOL.

Earth Day 1970 (the very first Earth Day):
"The nationwide event included opposition to the Vietnam War on the agenda, but this was thought to detract for the environmental message.
Pete Seeger was a keynote speaker and performer at the event held in Washington DC."

-—I find this office fitting for the party of Marx, who , had it not been for the money of his buddy Engels (who inherited it), would likely have starved to death on the street of London—

Sorry BamaGirl, I meant to put your comments in the form of a quote but hit the wrong key. Here's how it should have appeared:

Wow, some folks around here would have thought that CPUSA would use Linux boxes.

This hard core capitalist uses Ubuntu Linux, even with all the leftist sediment behind its creation. Its really the ultimate in free trade: Its free and it works.

“Inside their transparent cubicles, the 21-strong staff tap away on Apple Macs and sip Starbucks coffee.”

Communist Party USA (CPUSA) may not have many people working at their main headquarters, but they still have enormous influence. They are the people behind the largest "anti-war" coalition in the nation, United for Peace and Justice. UFPJ is co-chaired by Leslie Cagan and Judith LeBlanc. Cagan is a longtime supporter of communist causes and a devoted follower of Fidel Castro. She is also a founder of the organization, Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism. The CCDS is an offshoot of CPUSA. Judith Leblanc is a current leader of CPUSA.

This is typical leftist pablum. They're doing well everywhere else, so why not give a nice little PR puff piece to these potential murderers too. These louts never heard of a gulag after all, and China, North Korea, Cuba, and Vietnam are such swell places after all.

They would imprison or kill us all. Never forget that. You notice little Missy wissy Leslie Cagan worships Uncle Fidel while living here.

I enthusiastically recommend a recent book on Hollywood Communism: Red Star Over Hollywood: The Film Colony’s Long Romance With the Left, by Ronald and Allis Radosh (Encounter Books, 309 pages).
