ROSEBURG - Former President Bill Clinton comes to Roseburg Tuesday morning in one of the rare visits of a president in this area.
Roseburg High School is gearing up for a visit from the former president, and a rally Tuesday morning at 9:00 o'clock. The former president is trying to rally democrats to vote for Hillary Clinton in the Oregon primary.
Roseburg High Vice-Principal Larry Rich said it's a historical event for Roseburg to have a president visit.
"We found out this morning that he is coming to R.H.S. so he will be speaking in our gym. Every since we found that out which was around 10:00 o'clock we've been scrambling to figure out all the logistics to make sure that we can get the people here and and the parking situation, and so we've been scrambling, so we will be ready," said Rich.
The public will have first shot at getting in, and after that the students will be able to enter.
"There'll be a lot of Secret Service here, there is a sweep of the gym that will happen in the morning, and then when they are done at 8:15, that's when our band will show up and they will be seated, and from there the general public comes in," said Rich "This is real exciting that it's at this high school. Its been one of those things where over the weekend, they were looking at different sites, and the pluses and minuses for those different sites, and it just so happens that the high school was selected."
For those who want to attend, no tickets are required and parking will be at a premium because all the students will be there. But you need to be there between 8:30 and 9:00 o'clock to get in.
After the public goes in, students will be allowed in until the gymnasium is filled.
I wonder if Roseburg HS would allow John McCain to speak there...
Lockup all the girls from 14-54, the streets aren’t safe...
Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Oregon Ping List.
Bill Clinton graced Corvallis with his presence a couple of hours ago, but I think Oregon dims love Osamabama more!

Sergio missed a few short putts, but he won.
He’ll be in Grants Pass Tuesday 9:30 am at the Rogue Community College auditorium.
I’d like to go picket him, but there’s no place to stand with signs, no sidewalk, and I doubt if we can actually go onto the campus itself with our signs, but who knows.
Are any other GP Freepers going?
Ed
He made the one that counted on 18. Enjoyed seeing Goydos compete
