Message to Chris Matthews: when ripping a guest for his lack of historical knowledge, try to avoid making a history mistake of your own in the same segment.
It happened on this afternoon's Hardball. After lambasting a guest for not knowing his Neville Chamberlain history, Matthews surmised that the attack on the USS Cole in October, 2000 happened under . . . President Bush.

It’s actually quite telling that the lib is in denial about Cole. He doesn’t want to disturb the narrative that they attack us because of Republicans and he doesn’t want his audience to remember that Democrats fail at dealing with terrorists.

A. Morgan is right. Obama said he'd visited (i.e. campaigned in) 57 states so far, and had one to go, and wouldn't be able to visit Alaska and Hawaii. 57 + 3 = 60. Obama was asserting the United States was made up of 60 states, including Alaska and Hawaii and the one continental state he'd yet to visit.
Chrissy hates Republicans so much his hatred has blinded him to the truth. The only thing keeping him from running for the US Senate seat in PA is the fear that he might lose his job. He so badly wants to defeat the GOP that he would resort to anything.
And this guy wants to be the next senator from the Keystone State.. Hah!

I only get minimum basic cable, if I want to hear what is mostly the truth, I crank up Free Republic. Min basic $14.85. Chris is the scum of the earth et al.
I actually saw that show, however inadvertenly .. first time I saw either Matthews or MSNBC in eons. The poor fellow was trying to answer his question, Matthews would reframe his question and press for an answer to his updated query before the fellow could answer. Just one rude SOB.
Matthews was unbeleivably rude. The guy was making the point that Chamberlain was an appeaser just like Obama, and Matthews kept berating him over a minor detail.
If Obama talks to Stinky what does he have to offer? Israel or Israel’s nukes, that’s what BHO has to offer. Just like Chamberlain ended up offering the Sudetenland to Hitler in exchange for a piece of paper he could wave at the crowd at the airport.
The 'minor' detail was that the conservative speaker didn't know what Chamberlain did to be considered an appeaser.

Now to be fair, Matthews didn't ask the other guest, who might not have known as well and then stuck his foot in his own mouth by not knowing who was President when the Cole was attacked.

Lefties are even saying that President Reagan met and signed a nuclear treaty with the USSR! I thought the big thing about that meeting was that President Reagan walked out of the meeting. No deal with liars.
President Bush's statement hit a big nerve for sure. I even heard the local radio, NY social and entertainment guru, who is a lefty, Joan Hamburg, start her show with how what President Bush said was "Dirty politics...like the Republicans do..." I had just had it on after the John Gambling show. And I shut it right off.
I can't stand Imus and our local AM 74 music had one of there infomercials on while I was doing laundry until 9:30. Now I'm back to Curtis on WABC I am so grateful for your monitoring the craziness on the TV and other media.
I believe an Obama Presidency may bring back "Camelot" along with the incompetence that brought about the Cuban Missile Crisis. The media never wants to point out, that the Cuban Missile Crisis was the result of Kennedy's inexperience. And we'll never know, how Kennedy's faculties were affected by his tranquilizer and narcotic use.
Why doesn't the media focus on the latest OBL spin? "9/11 was caused by the Palestinians not getting Israelis driven into the sea yet." The evolution of OBL's statements is startling. It show's Al-Q is on the ropes for support. That's news.
Have you noticed that the crawls on the bottom of Fox etc. now spell OBL U-s-a-m-a Bin Laden. We don't want to confuse Osama with Obama, right?
No sale. Everybody with a clue knows that the Cole attack happened under Clinton, as did the first WTC bombing that blew a 30’ crater in the parking garage. Somebody who has been doing his own political talk show for a decade should know this stuff by rote even in a drug-addled, drunken stupor.
