Message to Chris Matthews: when ripping a guest for his lack of historical knowledge, try to avoid making a history mistake of your own in the same segment.
It happened on this afternoon's Hardball. After lambasting a guest for not knowing his Neville Chamberlain history, Matthews surmised that the attack on the USS Cole in October, 2000 happened under . . . President Bush.

It’s actually quite telling that the lib is in denial about Cole. He doesn’t want to disturb the narrative that they attack us because of Republicans and he doesn’t want his audience to remember that Democrats fail at dealing with terrorists.

I think earlier this week OB said 57 states.A. Morgan is right. Obama said he'd visited (i.e. campaigned in) 57 states so far, and had one to go, and wouldn't be able to visit Alaska and Hawaii. 57 + 3 = 60. Obama was asserting the United States was made up of 60 states, including Alaska and Hawaii and the one continental state he'd yet to visit.

Chrissy hates Republicans so much his hatred has blinded him to the truth. The only thing keeping him from running for the US Senate seat in PA is the fear that he might lose his job. He so badly wants to defeat the GOP that he would resort to anything.
