Bush's Comments In Israel Fuel Anger

Bush's comments about appeasement reverberated across the U.S. campaign trail, offering a new platform for Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to sharpen their lines of attack.

In the speech, Bush warned that the United States must not negotiate with Iran or radical groups such as Hamas.

"Some seem to believe we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along," Bush told the Israeli lawmakers. "We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

Democrats angrily called the comment a veiled shot at Obama, who has advocated dialogue with Iran and Syria, but not the Palestinian group Hamas.

To paraphrase Duke Leto Atreides, Bush has displayed an off-the-rack suit, and some are claiming it was custom tailored for them.

Moreso since our recent conservative heart-throb Gov Palin, Alaska, has introduced the $1.2 billion socialist giveaway to Alaskans.

“Just like whites who are not the descendents of slave owners still benefit from a racist oppressive caste system and thus owe reparations.”

Precisely.

Even though my grandparents on both sides, immigrated to the US in the early 20th century, 50 years after the Civil War, I receive that special whitey slave benefits check we all get monthly.

I can see what’s coming, so I’ve been contributing to my own special reparations fund, for that day when the bill comes from Oprah’s...I mean Obama’s... NewHope government...

Dick Morris believes it was a brilliant idea to nail obama down as an appeaser. He thinks mccain suggested it.
obama should have come out and said, that’s right, appeasement never works, but no, he and the dimwits all came out crying, “how dare he call obama that!”
Why else would they assume it was about him if it weren’t true?
hahahaha!

The Obama camp wasn’t smart enough to ignore what Bush said. The BDS was it’s downfall.

The MSM hate Bush, so his trip wouldn’t have gotten all that much play and would have been forgotten quickly.

Instead, Obamas weak card is being exploited over and over.

I look to see them find a way to quickly change the emphasis one again, realizing what idiots they were in owning what Bush said.

I am going to head out and get some more popcorn.

How is Obama a decndant of slaves? His father was from Kenya nad his mother a white woman from Kansas?

I'm sure if we all could trace our genealogies back far enough, we'd find out at some point one of our forefathers were enslaved. World history is rife with enslavement, blacks don't have exclusive rights to the "children of slavery" title. For cryin' out loud, there are people held in slavery right now today.

I was just thinking on what the Obama camp answer to Bush and his speech reminded me of “the smellers the feller” LOL

To be fair to Neville Chamberlain -- he later realized and owned up his mistaken "way of the appeaser". He fully supported the war effort against Nazi Germany and Hitler.

Jimmy Carter and like ilk are far worse -- they are unrepentant exploitive lying traitorous scum. Chamberlain was an honest man and a patriot.

When you through a rock into a pack of dogs, the one you hit makes the most noise.

From the DemocRAT rabid responses it seems that President Bush threw a handful of rocks.

Well hell, Barak; catch a plane. For sure; they’re waiting impatiently for your fabulous ideas based on your years’ of diplomatic experience. Perhaps, however, you just want election. Then, you can BS you way out of anyones’ expectations of you, and like the Dems always do, blame any personal impotency on the ‘previous administration’. God, these people have gotten so predictable.

Obama: "I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems, ....I will not weaponize space... I will slow development of future combat systems... I will institute a 'Defense Priorities Board' to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used ..."

Then, there will be peace in our time without the evil republicans causing war!

My change is good for Muslims, Islamofascists, Black Racists, and Chrislims. $crew the Christians and real Jews!

Some suggested this morning that this “outcry” was a concerted effort to deflect from the gay marriage deal of yesterday.

Yes, everything is about OBAMA!!! He is never allowed to be questioned or you will be accused of being a RACIST!
This is ridiculous. Also, if 96% of the black population is voting for Obama why is he surrounded by white people at every rally. I know the handlers are picking who is on camera behind him, but are there even any blacks at the rally?
