Obama called a reporter sweetie. Gasp. The pundits are divided on whether he should attend sensitivity training to correct his thinking or whether his coerced apology will suffice. The debate swirls, the opinions proliferate. The lesser pundits anxiously await the position paper from the National Organization of Women before commiting themselves to a firm stance on this vital issue. The rest of the world news takes a back seat.
Welcome to another national conversation. Non-stop news coverage of experts, pundits and elites opining on someone else's opining. As in, "What he really meant to say was...", and "He said that but what he really meant was..."

The irony of all this is too delicious.
He can call her Sweetie, and also he should be able to call her Ho, or Mam, or Lady, Miz....why not? I think most women would be pleased, if Obama called them Sweetie...
‘Scuse me while I whip this out....Moving the White House into the hood is going to be a hoot.
And you thought the Lincoln Bedroom was abused before. Oh boy.
This is the weakest black candidate, except for maybe JJ.
Waitresses call me ‘sweetie’ on a regular basis.

That is what happens in the real world. What we’re watching here is PC world. It looks a lot the same, on the surface, but has an inside that is twisted 180 degrees out of phase. That’s the world that cannot handle terms of endearment being used, even if only meant in a friendly and sociiable manner.
It ain’t us who are digging that hole, it’s the MSM. And it was hilarious to hear Sean and Mark call just about every caller (and every guest) ‘sweetie’. So I guess in an odd way we get to thank Barry H: we can all stop pretending men don’t find women attractive and want to compliment them casually, not meaning anything more than, ‘Hi, friend’.
Whatever happened to the days when Democrats could rape, molest and sexually assault women without anyone in the MSM raising an eyebrow? Is it just because there are two Democrats in competition for the same office? When Hillary gives up, will it be business as usual for the media? (Rhetorical questions.)
good column!
I’m all for giving Obama a break on this one, because at least he didn’t say.....
“Hey there, you nappy-headed ‘ho’!”
He is running for President!!!
Can you imagine if he goes to London and slips, calling the Queen, SWEETIE!!!!
GUY RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT,CALLED A PROFESSIONAL WOMEN SWEETIE,WAIT TILL YOU GET HOME TO MICHELL..SAY WHAT!
The left hates it when their PC crap comes back to bite them in the butt. That this happened to Obama is just to good.
I think this was a put up...especially the apology phone call to the info babe. Smacks of media manipulation.
Hey you dirty anti-american muzzy, did you just call me sweetie???????
OBAMALAMA DING DONG says some.
There is an ingrained teaching from muslims that a woman is a second class citizen, and not to be taken seriously. Remember he lived in a mulim household with his stepfather, Lolo Soretoro between ages 6-10 in Indonesia, and went to the mosque with him...so he has been taught by their principles.
The apology probably was encouraged by the media who shield him...so FoxNews wouldn’t go bezerk..but I say GO BEZERK.

“Hi, Comrade” would be better /s
I’m a middle aged woman.
Some guy called me “sweetie” in the store a while back.
It was actually kind of nice.
He wasn’t Obama.

You forgot “drown”.
