Excerpt -

BAGHDAD (AFP) — US President George W. Bush has apologised to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki over the shooting of a Koran by an American soldier near Baghdad, state television announced on Tuesday.

"The prime minister received an apology from US President George W. Bush on the incident of shooting of a Koran by a US soldier," Al-Iraqia television said.

US military authorities in Iraq have apologised to the local community west of Baghdad where the staff sergeant fired at the Koran during shooting practice on May 11.

The unidentified soldier, who pumped bullets into the Muslim holy book and wrote an expletive inside, has since been expelled from his unit and sent home.

Waste of a perfectly good sniper! The only real mistake that he made was not burning the said Koran after he was finished.

It’s easy to shoot metaphoric holes on the book of mo-HAM-MAD.

If the Sgt was going to use a Koran for target practice, he should have kept it to himself.

LOL.

***

The President is a gentleman and a statesman and a leader; a pearl that swine just can't stand.

He does the right thing and takes the petty heat that comes with it.

It's one thing to want to piss on the Koran. It's quite another to keep yourself a gentleman and restrain the urge, putting to more effective use elsewhere. And still another to know your God is big enough that you don't have to be lowered to the level of those who just don't get it.

I despise islam! But what a dumba$$ thing for that soldier to do! Great effort has been put forward to gain the cooperation of the iraqi people, and he pulls a dumb stunt. He’s finished in the service.

Geeze...the Commander apologized—wasn’t that enough? How about Muslims apologizing every time they desecrate a Bible or a Torah? Oh, wait, that will never happen.

So, a book is shot and the leader of the free world apologizes.

When do you think Islamic leaders will apologize for killing 3,000 people on a quiet September morning in 2001?

Obviously done to offset the apologies given by the followers of Islam for the killing of Christians worldwide.

“How about Muslims apologizing every time they desecrate a Bible or a Torah?”

Or for the deaths of the Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox and Chaldean Christian deacons, priests and hierarchs they’ve gunned down in Iraq and not one of the perps caught because its OK for our dear allies, the devotees of the Religion of Peace, to kill Christians with impunity.

This helps contradict al-qaeda’s and the American left’s propaganda that the U.S. is waging war against Islam.

I’m sick and tired of these politicians who apologize to muslims continuously while making no effort to discuss muslim attitudes and behavior toward non-muslims in Islamic “societies.”

In George W. Bush’s case, he should probably apologize first for creating another Islamic nation (Kosovo) in Europe and for turning a blind eye to the nasty Wahabbi activities being carried out by the Saudi regime (incl. INSIDE the USA).
