Carl Icahn, the billionaire investor best known for shaking up public companies, says he is very concerned about the Democratic frontrunner, Barack Obama.
I personally think he would be a terrible president,'' Icahn told investors in New York, according to wire reports.
Icahn thinks a President Obama would increase spending dramatically, something he says the country can't afford right now.
An Obama spending spree and the resulting tax hikes to pay for it would kill the dollar and result in higher interest rates, Icahn warned. I don't think Obama really understands economics,'' Icahn said.
Obama also would take office with a Democratic majority in the Congress, clearing the way for unchecked spending, Icahn said.
It would be devastating,'' Icahn said. Then you couldn't stop runaway legislation.''

Jimmy Carter endorses Obama for President. “Birds of a feather”
Well I would rather vote for a third party candidate as McCain is not really much better because the alleged “two party system” is failing.
Absolutely, it has to be McCain.
Whether Obamarxist understands economics is a moot point when he says he’d raise taxes, even knowing it means reduced government revenue, for redistribution in the interest of “fairness”.
Well, I hope that Carl Icahn puts his money where his mouth is, and starts opening up his big wallet like leftist billionnaires have been doing the last decade. Of course, if McCain keeps tracking left on global warming and immigration, nothing will help. No matter what McCain does, he WILL need Republican votes, and if he continues to piss us off, we WILL vote for Obama regardless of how distasteful it would be. After 2 years of incompetence, we’ll at least start making up lost ground in Congress. After Jimmy Carter, America needs a reminder of why Americans usually vote for Republican Presidents.
Sadly, neither do his opponents!
Someone got flamed around here a few days ago for suggesting that McCain should be supported but sending a message by voting out any but the most conservative congressmen. Im not sure I buy it yet, put there maybe a point to it.
Obama throws a socialist-communist wrench into their globalist-corporate-socialist agenda that was plugging along just fine without his help. McCain embracing global warming and illegal immigration and claiming to 'not understand' the economy...the perfect puppet.
Go ahead, vote for McCain. I pity you.
