CARLSBAD, California: Rupert Murdoch has predicted a Democratic landslide in the US presidential election against a gloomy economic backdrop over the next 18 months and described Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama as a "rock star".
Mr Murdoch, chairman and chief executive of News Corporation, which owns The Australian, has yet to endorse a US presidential candidate but considers Barack Obama very promising, he told two Wall Street Journal reporters yesterday.
News Corp recently acquired ownership of The Wall Street Journal and its parent company, Dow Jones. "You have got the Obama phenomenon. You have got, undoubtedly, a recession ... The average American is really getting hurt financially and that all bodes well for him (Obama)," Mr Murdoch said.
"You have probably the making of a complete phenomenon in this country," he said in describing what he predicted would be a sweeping victory for Democrats in November.
Mr Murdoch said senators Obama and John McCain, the Republican Party nominee, both had a lot of problems, but Senator McCain would be hurt by his party and his close ties to Washington. While Senator McCain was a "decent guy", he was "unpredictable" and "didn't know much about the economy", he added.
Mr Murdoch is associated with conservative political views but has a reputation for a pragmatic streak in major national races where he has shown a willingness to switch sides when he detects major political changes afoot.
Mr Murdoch said he was not yet backing anyone in the 2008 presidential race, but then quickly added: "I want to meet Obama. I want to know if he's going to walk the walk."

I spoke with yet another white democrat yesterday, this one a devout Catholic. She had been “praying for Hillary and Bill” to win for months, she said. Now that it’s over for Hill, I asked about Obama. She said “Did you know he was a Muslim?” She then told me that she used to read Nostramus, and he warned that if a leader came wearing a turban, it was the mark of Satan (is this what he said???). So when she saw the pic of Obama in the turban, she swore she could never vote for him. She said she would vote for McCain. That now makes 10 for 10 white Democrats I have spoke to (in CT) who said they will either not vote or vote for McCain.
He likes money and he likes making money. There was a market out there for Conservative Oriented Media and he catered to it and increased his riches.
When I watch FOX, I find it embarrassingly Republican biased. I would prefer they tone it down just a bit so its more effective. JMO.

I inferred from that, that the big yachts hoist hook Christmas week, loaded to their Plimsoll lines with gold bars and German bearer bonds, and set courses for ports in the Caribbean, beyond the reach of Obama's IRS.
Of course, any tax-law changes Congress passes will be made retroactive to January 1st, 2009. Hence the sail date.

Don't worry about Soros, Murdoch, or any of the other billionaire globalists. It isn't they who will be robbed. It's the middle class who are going to get the fleecing.

Looks like they have made enough money and have no more use for the “masses” so they are going pure communist. They all have safe havens somewhere off-shore, I’m sure.
