Or "gay"...or drives a car...or skydives...
100% correct..I dont know if it’s true or not but someone I know that works there Cat is trying to use Clinton like lawyer talk claiming:
“On the job” means at your work machine only not anywhere else such as in your car or outside
This actually kinda funny.
Banning smoking (the taking away of rights) has been a Democratic Liberal agenda item, and it’s that same Democratic Liberals the unions keep supporting!
I don’t remember too many companies in the 70’s and 80’s banning smoking in the workplace. This only became the “thing to do” when the Liberals started to push the agenda.
Another example of irony to add to my list.
Caterpillar offered regular pay which was much more than $300 per week, plus all the overtime anybody wanted. The flood gates were opened.
The cost of the health plan alone was around $1300 per month even back then.
Bullhockey when you take something that has been legal since the time of the forefathers and write legislation to turn it into a crime then add fake documentaion to it stating it's harmful to those who are not even effected by it's proximity "grievances" is a very weak word !
"Tyranny" is the word "Tyranny from an oligarchy" Should be the phrase
“Grow up and deal with it.”
got any vices? Eat red meat? drink a couple beers? ride your bicycle without a helmet?
It’s not like they’re going to end smoking and go home. wait long enough, and they’ll be after something you enjoy.
Illinois law bans smoking. Have you heard?
Yeah! Like snobbish non-smokers.
BUMP!
Actually from my experience, its always the non-smokers who have the “issues” with everything.
anyone who is overweight, or homosexual. Both groups use way more health care costs than smokers ever will.
BUMP and BRAVO!!
the latest assault. Primarily done and designed in order to be able to write grievances and fire people close to drawing a pension.
“Smokers tend to have grievances over a lot of things.”
—
Re your rather smarmy comment, most people have grievances when their freedoms begin to be chipped away. When your freedom to be a pr**k is outlawed, do you think you’ll be happy?
“Illinois law bans smoking. Have you heard?”
Smoke nazi’s...
Telling someone they cant smoke in the same area where people are WELDING STEEL is nothing but “becuase I said so”...
Here in Ohio I’m not even “allowed” to smoke in my service truck even though I’m the only one who drives it and never have passengers...
I’ve been told I cant even smoke on a job site even though there wasnt a single wall erected yet...just a flat slab in the middle of a field...
I lit a cigarette and blew smoke right in his face...”fire me”..
Screw that fascist crap.
why doesnt catiplliar just require that if you smoke you dont get insurance or you have to pay an extra premium.
As long as anyone that is overweight is given the same ripoff health insurance rate.
What about the alcholics and druggies?
Actually, no. Many states banned tobacco around the beginning of the twentieth century. Needless to say those bans have been overturned. A waste of time whining about the rights this poison has. A right to be banned is all.
Because as a smoker in the truck, you are a bigger risk to be insured. The company you choose to work for has probably negotiated an insurance rate based on the fact that no drivers can light up in the insured vehicles. Wah.
“Primarily done and designed in order to be able to write grievances and fire people close to drawing a pension.”
Yes, and it is an airtight politically correct way of doing so, as well.
You and I both know anyone that is even the least bit overweight is going to be next in this barrel.
Just imagine the insurance savings then!!! What a way to weed out those lousy pensioners!!
I guess we can say they had it coming. It could have been stopped, but all the $#@holes just had to jump on the smoker-hater bandwagon.
They can thank themselves for all this at the appropriate time. Like when it’s their turn.
