Pfleger: “America is the greatest sin against God;” new “statement” to come?

More video of Rev. Michael “Vanilla Ice” Pfleger’s race-baiting sermon last week at Trinity United Church of Christ has emerged on YouTube. Boy, was he on a roll. If you thought his bug-eyed, Jeremiah Wright wannabe mimickry of Hillary Clinton’s “white entitlement” was over the top, you’ll love the new excerpts in which Pfleger inveighs that “America is the greatest sin against God.” (”God damn America” was already taken, of course.)

My question is: What will it take for the Catholic Church to cut themselves loose of this racial huckster? “Have the balls” to fire him already. (See also Catholics against Pfleger.)

I honestly don’t believe either Wright or Pfleger actively want to hamstring Obama.

America and all its works are evil. That is a first principle for these two (and for most of those cheering them from the pews at Trinity). Barack and Michelle believe this as well. So their first instinct is to state out loud what they really believe to be true about America.

Of course afterwards when they realize what this does to their campaign to get votes from whites they start to back and fill, to disavow and to explain and to hope the short attention span of the public will dump these outrageous statements down the memory hole long before November arrives.

And if these statements are not forgotten by the majority of Americans in November and they lose the election, that just proves that America is racist, and justifies their original statement.

The complete Hierarchy of the Catholic Church hasn’t got the fundamental courage to get rid of this loudmouth Moron but let some divorced Mother of 4 kids look to receive holy communion, they all would Jump all over her and excommunicate her immediately.

No wonder the Church is sliding into Oblivion.

Cardinal George should also Quit.

This clown is Cardinal George's responsibility.

but let some divorced Mother of 4 kids look to receive holy communion, they all would Jump all over her and excommunicate her immediately.

Those who are divorced are still allowed to receive Communion.

No wonder the Church is sliding into Oblivion.

Quite the opposite.

Cardinal George should also Quit.

You finally wrote something cogent.

It’s not just the content of his arguments that are appalling.

He also adopts a black accent when talking to the congregation. Isn’t that offensive to the congregation?

It’s a auto-psychological, reflexive admission from the preacher that his audience is “other” than himself, and he has to ‘meet them halfway’ by adopting their language.

In other words, the mentality of a racist.

Preacher, heal thyself.

"I guess there are no self-aggrandizing idiots in your church. You must be proud."

There may be.......but they aren't the PRIEST! Plus - they certainly are not celebrated, applauded, cheered on as they "preach" a demeaning pimp version of racism or invited out to various neighborhood "churches" to spread the good word....

For Pimp Daddy Pflelger to be a Catholic Priest with his own parish --- is a travesty.

It looks like he is planning to keep yammering. A “real statement” is coming soon.

“The Rev. Michael Pfleger, who helped reignite Barack Obama’s pastor problems by mocking Hillary Clinton, said this evening he’s received “thousands of hate threats” since his videotaped pulpit rant.

“They want to kill me,” Pfleger told parishioners during a service in a St. Sabina Church chapel on Chicago’s South Side this evening. “It’s been very ugly.”

In his brief comments this evening, Pfleger did not name any candidates, and said he would address the controversy at a Sunday mass at St. Sabina.

“I’m not going to make a statement,” Pfleger told the crowded chapel. “My real statement will be tomorrow.”

Thanks for posting this.

I have updated my tagline from the unreverend Wright to this comment by Pfleger.
