Say it with me: Boo-freaking-hoo. Via the Chicago Sun-Times’ Cathleen Falsani:
Pfleger has apologized for “the words that I chose” and for “my dramatization.” Pfleger told me he called the Clinton campaign to apologize directly but had not heard back from Clinton or her representatives.
All that is well and good, but how, as a friend and passionate supporter of Obama’s campaign for president, could he do what he did, with cameras rolling?
Pfleger’s short answer? He didn’t think the service and his “conversation” — a more casual address than a classic sermon, he explained — were being broadcast live online, as Trinity often does.
“They told me it was down,” Pfleger said. “Their live streaming had been down all day, and they didn’t know whether it was back up. . . . I regret the dramatization that I was naive enough to believe was just going to be kept among that church.”
Even Falsani couldn’t stomach Pfleger’s self-sorrow:
It’s a rare occasion when Pfleger and I find ourselves at a loss for words.
Pfleger’s about as cowed as I’ve ever seen him. He’s reeling, really, from what he admits is a difficult predicament of his own making. Over the weekend, he said that the days since his Trinity address had been the most difficult of his life, even more painful than when his foster son Jarvis was gunned down near St. Sabina on May 30, 1998.
I’ve spoken to Pfleger many times about Jarvis’ death and couldn’t believe he said this. It sounded like the worst kind of narcissism, and I told him so.
Pull out the victim card in 3, 2, 1…
“This is a dangerous time in America, the freest country in the world,” Pfleger says, “where you have to whisper your thoughts.”
This whole Fr. Pfleger thing has “Law & Order” written all over it.
Father Pfleger, shout it to the roof tops. Tell the world. Keep on, keepin’ on. Then, take it like a man. No habit or cloth or fear of pain of death should silence you.
Your speech will be protected, your life will be spared and defended, your church will not abandon you, you will pay no price to your parishioners. The only price you will pay is the one similar in nature to the one Sharon Stone has just paid — so just avoid 95 percent of Americans (both black and white) and don't think you'll be getting any spokes person gigs anytime soon.
“Gotta love, too, that he implies that he only said these horrible things because he thought “no one was looking.”
As I often told my son, God never sleeps, nor is he mocked. Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want Him to hear or see, ‘cause no matter what you may think, Omnipresent, omniscient means exactly that, and payback is a bitch.
The Catholic Church is not racist, this man is. The Cardinal needs to remove this priest as a pastor, take his confession, and assign a good penance in some far off place in a hermitage.
I’ll agree with that. Bottom-line...he needs to be out of his job, period.

According to Curtis Sliwa (he of Guardian Angels fame)Pfleger is virtually bullet-proof because of his association with Screwy Louie Farrakhan & Jesse Jackson. He’s been called on the carpet by the diocese before & Farrakhan & Jackson have gone to bat for him. He’s their so-called “snow bro”.
Apparently, he also puts a lot of butts in pews, so to speak.
So if his church is full, the diocese is reluctant (or unable) to get rid of him.
But there’s no doubt he’s on the Church’s sh*t list.
Update: I just saw on FOX that the Cardinal has removed that bug from his church.
Pfleger is no man.
