Gee, does this mean you really can’t say whatever you darned well please? That’s not freedom of speech! Or is it? Maybe Pfleger learns that freedom of expression is not the same thing as freedom of speech. At any rate, my freedoms mean I don’t have to listen to his ranting. Glad to see the Cardinal finally did something about this man of mediocrity. Interesting, though, that he’s looking for a meager little apartment while Wright moves into a gigantic, million $+ mansion in the Odyssey village. Maybe he could rent out a basement room to his friend Pfleger.
Does he get one of those CEO out the door packages? ‘You know’ the kind that lord McCain will make impossible when corporate leaders fail?
He definitely did that, didn't he...
Yeah, I doesn’t Pfleger look remarkably like the flaming gay guy from the TV show “Will and Grace?”
Is Lenny the guy who starred in Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show?
I found it interesting in the article also that the Cardinal had to force Pfleger to go ... Pfleger kept saying “no”.
I hope he’s out for good.
From a Catholic................he will probably be laicized and not allowed to practice any longer as a priest.
There's a big and fundamental difference: Pfleger has long been a thorn in the Catholic Church's rear. They have long wanted rid of him - and he finally went that one step too far that gave them the ba*ls to do it.
In the case of Trinity and the Rev Bullfrog - he is their hero. What he spouts gets standing, clapping AMENS...from Trinity and the whole Black Liberationist organization
I find it striking that this last item - classicism - essentially means that Pfleger reserves the "right" to disbelieve and disavow his holy orders - in which he vowed to enforce classicism. I wonder what his view on faithfulness in marriage is...
If the author meant class warfare, then "classicism" was certainly the wrong word to use.
And a paycheck.
Now Pfleger can "rally for the poor and downtrodden" from the same streets they sleep in. How fitting. I wonder how much racism he'll be able to preach from that pulpit? Maybe God sent him there to open his eyes and show him that poverty and homelessness really has no racial boundaries, and they aren't all "victims" of whitey or anyone but themselves.
Lordy, lordy. I've seen a lot of convoluted stretching of a subject for McCain bashers to get in a slam against him - but this may take the cake.
While Pfleger broods in his apartment with second-hand furniture, I wonder if he'll be thinking about Wright relaxing in his $1.6 million mansion.
Mmm mmm...that's some good schadenfreude!
Is there a particular reason why you would know what homosexuals look like?
Is there any particular reason why you'd care?
“That sometimes has meant disobeying...canon law.”
That pesky vow of obedience he took at ordination must have slipped his mind.
Hardly. Luther went on to become more paranoid, more schizophrenic, a bigger drunk and less able to control his libido. Do a comprehensive reading of his post revolution writings and learn the truth.
Scary thought. Hopefully the 'rearing' wasn't literal.
That is true, but he also started the protestant revolution that continues to this day. He changed the world more than any other person in the last 500 years, with the possible exception of Christopher Columbus, or do you disagree?
