A former US President cannot be impeached by the House and tried or convicted by the Senate when no longer in office ... It’s a civilian process, not military.

Exactly so -- it's also a political remedy to remove him from office, not a criminal process.

Kucinich, or any other member of the House, may introduce Articles as they decide -- they are forwarded, as is all legislation, to the committee of jurisdiction, this would be the Judiciary, where the chairman decides whether or not he will put them on the committee's calendar for discussion, debate. Considering all the public statements from Dem Leadership, methinks these will simply be placed in the chairman's drawer.

He’s a very clever, and astute politician. He knows how to get money from people who would never donate to another cause.

Exactly...Kucinich is just one of many termites who infest US politics. Cleveland has plenty of company when it comes to being infected with a virulent case of the Blue Derangement Disorder.

LOL.. you post this - just as the thread is about to take is natural and well-deserved rest.

You're new here: Hello.

Here are some of Dennis' positions. These are just some of the reasons I have no respect for him.

Women's right-to-choose is essential to gender equality. (Nov 2006)
Abortions should always be legal. (Jan 2004)
Women can't be free unless they have the right to choose. (Apr 2003), yet
Life begins at conception.* (Jul 1996)
As Cleveland mayor, first city to default since Depression. (Nov 2007)
Gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender right to marry. (Jul 2007)
Civil marriage is not necessarily between a man & a woman. (Feb 2004)
Ban the death penalty-98% of those convicted are poor. (Jan 2004)
Rated A+ by VOTE-HEMP, indicating a pro-hemp voting record. (Dec 2003)
Rated +10 by NORML, indicating a pro-drug-reform stance. (Dec 2006)
Fund universal pre-K with 15% cut in Pentagon budget. (Aug 2007)
Teach sex ed in schools; including AIDS prevention. (Aug 2007)
Sent kids to public school; apply that to all kids. (Jul 2007)
Vouchers divert public money away from public schools. (Jan 2004)
Establish universal pre-kindergarten programs. (Aug 2003)
Voted NO on allowing Courts to decide on "God" in Pledge of Allegiance. (Jul 2006)
Voted against drilling in Alaska, against union preference. (Nov 2007)
Katrina response underscores what's wrong about race. (Jun 2007)
Teach principles of compassion to reduce domestic violence. (Jun 2007)
Voted NO on establishing nationwide AMBER alert system for missing kids. (Apr 2003)
Rated F by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun control voting record. (Dec 2003)
Voted NO on reporting illegal aliens who receive hospital treatment. (May 2004)
Stimulate economy with massive new WPA-type program. (Oct 2003)

It goes on and on.

What I said first, I repeat: "Id-git"

Ironically, all of these positions are from a site that touts his excellent qualifications. As you read ("red") this list, you may have ticked off each item with a hearty "Agree...Agree...!" Well, I don't agree with his positions on any of these items (*save one - even a blind bird gets a worm)

You just joined FreeRepublic. We ask you to stay. I hope you are treated nicely - but you are not like us - yet.

Peace,
through Strength.

Agreed she shouldn't be zotted. She may be a keeper.

FR's long-time resident liberal punching bag, "Murray Mom" is old-hat and we need some new blood.

Deborah's screen name, "Kinsman redeemer" makes me curious about whether or not she's kin to Obama the Redeemer. Her post sounds like she is, by golly!

“What’s the attraction for people in Cleveland?”

It’s the chemicals in the water.

Drew Carey was smart to get out of there and join the Marines when he did.

We need a penalty for ex-presidents who interfere with foreign policy.

Deborah,

I grew up in northeast Ohio and I have witnessed Mr. Kucinich’s work.
He almost destroyed Cleveland.

Oops....misread, sorry. My apologies to "kinsman redeemer" for the goof.

So our new Murray Mom's screen name is "Healthy Planet". Almost as bad as what I thought it was....and almost as juicy for our freeping pleasure.

We MUST make her welcome!

The moonbats think it’s still possible to impeach and convict someone who has already left office. Seriously. I’ve read some of their posts over at the DUmp.

I’m wondering whether it would be better if congress spends a year on that issue or another year messing up the country.

Hmmm, it appears that the ever-liberal, ever-touchyfeely "Murray Mom" was permanently released from FR without bond.

All the better if we have a replacement.
