What happened to the “straight talk express”?!?

We need a "straight talk Shinkansen." That is, the train that runs on nuclear power.

MCCAIN: There's logic to it and emotion to it. I mean, after all, look what's happening to Americans who are on fixed income, particularly low-income Americans. The oil companies have got to be more participatory in alternate energy, in sharing their profits in a variety of ways, and there is very strong and justifiable emotion about their profits.

Smells like Teen Clinton.

"Look what's happened to Americans who are on a fixed income, particularly low-income Americans — that's why I wanted to give them a little break," McCain said. "They drive the furthest. They drive the automobiles that use the most gasoline. I wanted to give them a little break for the summer."

Yeah, it's for the "little sheeple". Baa... Baa... Here's a little something for your vote. Drill ANWR? Fuggedabout it.

Let's try that again with emphasis.

"The point is, oil companies have got to be more participatory in alternate energy,

Translation: Since you oil companies have not done what I and "my good friends" in CONgre$$ have been "encouraging" you to do, you have now called our bluff and we are forced to demand that you do as we say or we will nationalize your ass!

in sharing their profits in a variety of ways,

Translation: By command of the high CONgre$$critter Ass. we will force you to bow down to our every whim or we will destroy you! We are going to take things away from you for the common good!

and there is very strong and justifiable emotion about their profits," McCain said.

Translation: I, John MeInsane, am a damn communist and I will rule the world by my emotions and feeeeeeelings, or any other way I see fit or deem necessary in my little pea brain, so screw you and the American people, too!

Dear God I loathe this POE! It wasn't enough to sell 300-1000 of our citizens to the communists, he is planning to make us and our country all communists!

I can’t call him a coward because he went through things that I can’t even imagine.

Yeah, but how many decades ago was that?

Because he is an arrogant b@stard who will probably piss the election away before he realizes it is wrong to say stupid things like this.

The MSM has big plans for his destruction, so the last thing he should do is give them fuel for their fire.

He should instead bypass his "friends" in the Democrat party, and drill Alaska, the Gulf and elsewhere.

He should be pushing the benefits and safety of Nuclear Power as demonstrated in Germany and France, and he should be promising to build more refineries and hydro-electric plants.

Instead, he is alienating the very people he needs to win the election: the middle class Americans.

Did you hear his emotional explanation references his refusal to drill the frozen wasteland (commonly referred to as ANWR)? He compared that ice-slab to the Grand Canyon.

Sheesh, McCain is an arrogant @ss.

The guy is a disaster of a candidate.

I was sure I was going to vote for him, but I guess I’ll either abstain a vote for President or I’ll go with a conservative 3rd party candidate.

Record high prices for gasoline probably won't drop before the November election, Republican John McCain said Wednesday.

But

but

but, just a couple of weeks ago Rush was yip-yip-yahoo-ing a minor price drop, as he 'predicted prices would fall.'
Rush Limbaugh, Thursday 1:05 pm on 5-30-08:

"Oil prices are going down just like I told you they will..I told you people, I told you people..."

Don’t know that McCain has any special knowledge about this since it is the opinion of many analysts and Gov’t Departments.

Why should the price go down, or even stay the same? They raise the price, we bitch and moan, but we continue to buy cars that use more fuel than others we could purchase and we continue to buy more and more gas every day. I don’t know of any industry that would stop raising prices if they could do so with impunity. I fear there is no natural process that is going to stop the vicious cycle before the system melts down. Capitalism being what it is I don’t think any of the people who are in a position to dampen the cycle for fear of killing the goose that lays the golden egg are going to interfere.
