"He did ask the question that unnerved Hillary the most, and brought down her ‘inevitability’."

Don't forget that question was the one that Rush Limbaugh was screaming that someone in the media should be asking her. Tim Russert picked up on it.

“You be sure and get back to me when you’re able to cite the “posters may not ask questions” part of the TOS, y’hear?”

If I had any idea what the heck you are talking about, I would answer.

Myocardial infarction results in collapse, sometimes if help is available and the condition is recognized resuscitation can be performed; fibrillation results in weakness and often collapse and again, if recognized, measures such as defibrillation can be performed and normal rythmn restored.

Blood clots can travel from the lower extremities to the heart or lungs and result in collapse asymptomatically to the patient.

Sudden cessation of the heart without a blockage or a demonstrated arrythmnia is possible but quite rare among patients under normal medical care.

It's only that some of us have enough class to know what is appropriate and what is inappropriate.

Obviously individuals such as you lack that particular characteristic.

Tim Russert may have been a partisan Democrat, but that does not automatically remove him from the human race.

Maybe when you grow up you will understand these facts. Politics is politics and it has its place, but bad-mouthing a man who just died because you happened to disagree with his political views is just classless and more to be expected from a Left-wing moonbat.

It is appalling to see it here among "reasoning, rational" Conservatives.

My guess is that this entire comment is so far above your head that you won't comprehend it. Have a nice, petty life.

My memory is telling me that a P.E.(pulmonary embolus) generally gives chest pain.

Who in the world considered him removed from the human race?He was very much a part of the human race, a very influential member.

Very strange comment you make.

I'll always remember him on election night 2000 with his whiteboard showing all the possible electoral scenarios. He was like a kid on Christmas morning knowing that history was being made that night in such a close race. The thing that strikes me now is I remember no bias at all in his reporting that night. He didn't seem to be pulling for Gore or Bush just informing the viewers.

Juxtapose that with Dan Rather who looked confident when they had called Florida for Gore and then grim when they had to withdraw that prediction. By early morning Dan was babbling metaphors that made absolutely zero sense.

I flipped channels all night until I practically collapsed from exhaustion. Thanks for the great memory Mr. Russert.

RIP. Prayers going up for your Family.

“Say’s Russert gave him a $10,000 check to benefit the Freedom concerts.”

Too bad he felt the need to keep it a secret.

You think wishing Paul Newman and Russert's family well is 'sick'? What would be healthy then? It's a simply a matter of separating what someone believed to what someone did. Newman was a key part of creating some great films. American culture is better because of him. I did not like Miller's politics but he was a first rate dramatist and likewise contributed to American culture. Russert was a first rate interviewer. He got interesting answers from everyone.

I pray for his soul and I pray that his replacement won’t be a leftist.

First, let me say that I always liked Tim Russert and in the link below, writtein in 2004, I rate the political talk show pundits. Should you decide to click in, you will note that Russert was my SECOND choice of best political moderator.

HERE

That being so said, it's time for me to speculate who will take Tim's place. Because I got a feeling that my WORST political pundit from my Blog post linked above is chomping at the bit to assume his rightful place on the throne.

I speak specifically of....TADA...Chris Matthews. Who, I note, is NOT hosting his Hardball show tonight but hey, it might have already been planned.

Now I'm not saying that NBC is crazy enough to actually use Chris Matthews on its famous and benchmark of political talk shows..."Meet the Press"...but I betcha a couple of big bucks ole Chrissy thinks he is the rightful heir.

Also, NBC DOES keep Keith Olberman hanging around and this guy is known far and wide as an asshole, forgive my French, so NBC could be stupid enough to give it to Matthews.

Other possibilities....David Gregory, pock-marked Andrea Mitchell...maybe it's time for a woman, who knows? If life were fair, I'd go for Chris Wallace but I know he's a Fox guy. But in my mind Chris would be the guy to fill Tim's shoes.

Strange things do happen and hey, NBC has got to REAL quick get somebody on that show. We've got an election coming up and "Meet the Press" is a show that even the ladies at the beauty parlor know about. It simply would not do to leave that show in a vacuum so I'm thinking that by next week, no later than the week after, there will be appointed by NBC a replacement for Tim Russert as moderator of Meet the Press.

Right now I can't think of any other pundit that could fill in...Brit Hume is too conservative.

You can believe that lots of people will be campaigning for the job and it should be interesting.

I think one of the main reasons I liked listening to him was that he actually listened to his opponent’s statement and came back with a fairly intelligent response.

No, you did not take my comment in context. I was referring to "death" and "sick" threads related to celebs (as in celebs who are ILL).

They are over the top in adoration IMO.

My condolences to both your and the Russert's family, Mr.S.

I lost my younger/only brother five years ago today, and the ticket window keeps gettin' closer.

Given the current state of our nation, some days I'm almost at peace with that reality.
