Depends on the point of view. Moslems consider you Moslem from birth onward (and that's without respect to any other religion you might later pick up). With a Moslem father, and Islam holding the father to be paramount in these matters, it's incontrovertible that he was a Moslem.

Even his step father was officially a Moslem (although in private, an atheist like his mother).

Obama's brother could not possibly advance a different view for fear of being murdered by other Moslems as an apostate.

Now, from the Antipedobaptist point of view, what Obama "was" is irrelevant provided that he was an adult and was baptised, and made the decision himself without any reservation. "Just as I am" has meaning in some circles eh!

From Obama's point of view he is not now nor was he ever a Moslem. This is necessary to keep crazoid Moslems from murdering him as an apostate the first chance they get.

Folks who who would "like" for Obama to actually be a Moslem are simply seeking some sort of explanation beyond "He's a Chicago pol" to explain what's going on here.

Sorry guys. Being a "Chicago pol" means you are a thieving, lieing, low down sort of character who will raise taxes and never provide any of the additional services those new taxes were promised to support.

Being a "Chiago pol" means you will try to build a new, noisy and dirty airport in the middle of Lake Michigan rather than somewhere in Illinois.

Being a "Chicago pol" means you never need to count the votes as long as you are in charge of the polls and have access to the machines.

Being a "Chicago pol" means a life of ease and comfort.

Sometimes a child of a "Chicago pol" will go wild and abandon the ways of his fathers ~ maybe even become a patriotic and a member of the military - see Patrick Daley!

This is a rare situation. You certainly will never see that happen in Obama's family. Michelle didn't have daughters so they could serve the nation she's always been so intensely ashamed of. Those girls will not be dating soldiers in the backseats of daddy's cars - leastwise not so that he can discover them.

Can I say more about "Chicago pols" and their offspring, and attitudes, and how absolutely horrid these people are.

He had a dysfunctional family life. Were he raised a nominal Muslim as a young child, then as a nominal Christian from ten on, finally finding Christianity as a adult, fine. But why not admit it? The fact that he conceals his innermost beliefs is disturbing. And no, that doesn't mean he's a "stealth Muslim", but it probably means he's a racist and Marxist, like the people he acknowledges had the greatest impact on his life. Obviously he's comfortable around radical Muslims, particularly Nation of Islam types.

That's exactly the point. None of us, before age 10, had any control over what religion we were raised in. Nobody needs to apologize for that.
