I can’t imagine any US LEO or military unit that would enforce this.

Ahem...

Perhaps you haven't heard of New Orleans during Katrina?

“Special Op’s”

Exactly how many SOs will it take to hunt down everyone who doesn’t want to give up their weapons? You over-estimate the reach of the Fed gov.

By the time the Gov has figured out people are NOT going to go along with the gun snatch, individual militia and communitities will be organizing protests and creating chaos, at the least.

Like I said, the Gov doesn’t want to fight this battle. At best, they’ll attempt to do it with foreign troops. Another BAD move.

Ok mate. Hopefully, we will never have the opportunity to see who is right. But, you and your wife need to work up a better plan. Your current isn’t realistic to put it kindly.,.

“First of all, you’ll need to cancel the ON-STAR service.”
Well, ok if I must. Next thing you are probably going to tell me is that if I intend to be a guerrilla I have to give up air conditioning and Monday Night Football?

The only way the LEOs would ensure being safe is to assault in an armored vehicle.

There are many guns that are illegal to purchase and illegal to own in Kalifornia. The Ninth Circus Court has upheld Kalifornia's claims that there is no individual right to have a firearm. There is no reason to believe that the anti-gun Demoncrats here will stop in their efforts without something very dramatic happening.

You must be a chess player.

Just as in chess, the situation will be visible to all. One side will attempt to destroy the other. But the winner will not necessarily be the first to attack the other's queen (the queen being the most powerful piece on the board).

Rather the victory may be determined by the placement of a pawn here or a pawn there. These pawns may not even be located at the apparent point of attack.

Prior to our American Revolution, the government attempted to enforce laws requiring the purchase of stamps on all official documents. Did our Founders take up arms and march on Parliament? Of course not. Instead they made it impossible from a practical standpoint for anybody to sell the required stamps.

Similarly, at such times as confiscation appears to be unavoidable, freedom loving people will see to it that such laws cannot be enforced. It will be a problem for the enforcers to recognize that they must choose sides.

But as you point out, the best defense is a good offense.

During a disaster, yes. Not just to take away our weapons.

Nope. Air conditioning, t.v. and all the other conveniences are only to be given up when someone pries them from our cold, dead hands!
