The fact that the schools in London were not allowed to show Al Gore’s movie without a qualified moderator to point out the fallacies, didn’t help convince the Brits to jump on board the
Gore band wagon.

"The IPCC needs a lesson in geology to avoid making fundamental mistakes," he says. "Most leading geologists, throughout the world, know that the IPCC's view of Earth processes are implausible if not impossible." Tom V. Segalstad, head of the Geological Museum at the University of Oslo and formerly an expert reviewer with the same IPCC

ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY.......
"We're not going to tell you the whole truth, but we're going to require you to pay up a lot of money."
...Six out of 10 agreed that 'many scientific experts still question if humans are contributing to climate change', and that four out of 10 'sometimes think climate change might not be as bad as people say'.
A green tax is a 'stealth' tax.

“most Britons doubt cause of climate change”
I’ve lost track; How long did it take for the truth to finally catch up to these lying, commie treehugger sob’s?
The earth is warming nonesense started up not long after the earth is cooling nonesense of the mid ‘70’s, IIRC.

Ya mean like the Turner Prophecies, that the tempuratures will rise by 8 degrees, that corn and wheat harvests will fail, and that cannabalism will be universal? Those dire predictions?

Oh, no! Reality intrudes on the sheeple's brainwashing and their eyes begin to open. What will the propagandists do?

Average brits seem to have more on the ball than average yanks.
LOL! That hasn’t been my experience but if you say so. Brits are famous for muddling through and they appear to be well on their way to muddling out of the GW hysteria. I’ll give them credit for that but there has been steady scepticism in the US about GW since the Kyoto treaty was rejected by the Senate in the 90’s.

“... many others believe scientists are exaggerating the problem.”
I don’t know how any sane person can listen to the daily doom and gloom prognostications coming from the global warmers and not believe they are more than exagerating the problem.
The last one I heard was that the Earth would explode.
Obviously, normal people don’t believe this tripe anymore and it is showing up firmly in the polls. The Brits are the most bought in of any nation and now they have turned against it.
The warmers have overplayed their hand/exageration.

'It's disappointing and the government will be really worried,' said Jonathon Porritt, chairman of the government's Sustainable Development Commission. 'They [politicians] need the context in which they're developing new policies to be a lot stronger and more positive. Otherwise the potential for backlash and unpopularity is considerable.'As usual, government thinks it merely needs to communicate better with all the backward rubes.

The next step will be to just have the courts impose their will. If they can’t convince the electorate the fall back position is to have their will imposed from the bench. It’s already happening.

'They [politicians] need the context in which they're developing new policies to be a lot stronger and more positive. Otherwise the potential for backlash and unpopularity is considerable.' Sounds pretty strong and positive to me. The only thing that would be any more positive is if Brits were convinced it was all the pile of crap it is, as opposed to simply being skeptical. They forget the only reason for them to be there is to implement our wishes.

Yes, considering that the UK is just about as far down the drain as the US when it comes to people with half a brain left.
