Vietnam veterans ask T. Boone Pickens to pay up on Kerry record

Ten men who served in Vietnam with Sen. John Kerry want Dallas billionaire T. Boone Pickens to fork over the $1 million he said he would give anyone who could disprove claims that Swift Boat Veterans for Truth made about Mr. Kerry's war record during the 2004 presidential campaign.
The men sent a lengthy letter and supporting documentation to Mr. Pickens on Thursday.
Mr. Pickens, who helped support the anti-Kerry group, could not be reached for comment Friday night. He has not publicly responded to the letter.
“We are prepared now to come to Texas to see you, or meet somewhere else mutually convenient,” the crewmen wrote. “We are telling you, that we will bring with us a Navy/Pentagon certified copy of Senator Kerry’s full military record and his writings and the movie footage you have requested. We will sit with you while you go through them page for page, frame by frame and answer any questions you may have. We know the truth because we were there on the boat. "

Want to bet anything that this is a redacted copy of his service record after the Carter amnesty. The BUM wouldn’t release it to the general public only to one of his faithful.
I wonder if these records contain Kerry’s honorable discharge?
At least that’s what Rush says every time he mentions Kerry’s name ... I’ve seen the Swift Boat arguments (their web site during Kerry’s run for pres.) ... pretty good.
Do what these vets claim to have include the above, ALL of it?
The SBVFT accusations were vetted thoroughly in 04, and it all stuck. Maybe these guys have some minor detail like say, Kerry wore boxers not briefs, and are hoping that can get them the 1 million. If the Swifties were even at all vulnerable they would have been hammered into oblivion when lurch ran for prez, but they came through with flying colors and stuck the creep with a loss....God bless them!

It would be worth a $1 million IF and only IF, Pickens (who considering his success can hardly be considered a dummy) was provided with a signed Form 180 and allowed him unfettered and unlimited access to ALL of Kerry's military records including his medical records as well as the time he spent in the Reserves.
I'd trust those Kerry supporters as much as I'd trust John "The Snake" and that is none at all.
In fact, if Kerry's supporters would agree to the same terms as above, (and for any reason T. Boone decided against paying their blood money) I'll kick in the first $100 and I would venture to suggest that I could get another 10,000 fellow Nam Vets (or other patriotic Americans) to contribute whatever and bet we could raise the $1,000,000 in a matter of weeks if not days.

The F'n, Traitorous, Rat-Bastard, Snake, could have put that entire matter to bed in a N.Y. minute if he would have only released to everyone interested his complete military records (by initiating a Form 180 and allowing whoever to request his records) INCLUDING his medical as well as his Reserves records.
Kerry could have not only embarassed and cut the legs from under the Swift Boat Vets, but would more than likely have beaten Bush,.

Once upon a time I met a “veteran for Kerry” supporter. Really.
The only problem was, he was also a proud, advertising member of our teachers union!
I asked him and Vietnam I’m still not sure he served IN Vietnam. But he sure proclaimed his Kerry support.
If I recall, the Pentagon withheld about 100 pages of Kerry’s military record from the public at the request of monsieur Kerry.
Then those ten guys should cough them up to get a chance at the money ...I doubt it.
The Swift Boat Vets proved that the “F” in John “F” Kerry stands for “fraud”.

Be careful. There’s a big difference between Vietnam-era veteran and Vietnam veteran as I’m sure Sen. Tom Harkin will explain. Or, maybe he won’t.
They probably do. But I'll bet they don't include the pre-Carter less-than-honorable one or any of those records.

He sure did not serve a full tour. He did not serve 25% of a tour of duty. There are people that came back for legitimate reasons but not Kerry. Did he really get a Purple Heart? His company commander said that he did not sigh any Purple Heart papers. Where are your military papers kerry? Did you really get a Dishonorable Discharge and are afraid to show it?

That would be form 180.He will never release this form because it will show a dishonorable discharge that was upgraded by....wait for it...jimma caata to an honorable.This can be the only reason that he wont turn it over.One of the enemy within beyond any doubt.
I do believe Pickens laid out specific terms for payment, including Kerry supplying all recods available of his service from 1972 to 1978, the date on the discharge Kerry supplied.
When does Kerry come clean and stop hiding behind others?
T. Boone Pickens could get out of paying. He could just register as a Democrat and say that he lied. Perfectly acceptable by libs’ standards.
Isn't this the way it's always worked? The deniers won't provide the information, they just say they *will* after the other side capitulates.

So how did these men get John Effin Kerry's military record, when he never released it publicly? Sounds kinda fishy to me.
Is this the record where private citizen Nixon somehow managed to start calling the shots of the military?
He has released it to a few friendly reporter types. Maybe he's released it to this group as well. But I'll also bet it proves nothing. If it did, SKerry would have released it to the general public before he got kicked to the curb by the electorate.
As I recall, PBRs only had a crew of three or four (plus the officer in charge). If they had ten people on them, they would be in danger of sinking.
PS: I spent the whold year in Cam Rahn Bay...not a half a year like Kerry.
