Move-On.org is taking a firm stand on a campaign promise that Barack Obama made that said he would filibuster any wiretapping bill that had retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies that let the feds listen in on.
MoveOn says in the letter “We need him to honor that promise.”
The posting urges supporters to tell Obama how they feel by calling his presidential campaign to let him know that “you’re counting on him to keep his word.”
Last Friday Obama announced his support for the intelligence surveillance law that is highly unpopular with most left activists; the money, momentum and votes that help make him the presumptive nominee.

I was moved by this call, so I wrote to the campaign telling them to do what MoveOn wants.
I explained that he’d be stupid to do so, but at least he could say that at least once he kept his word.

If MO's big money has been a key factor in Barack getting his candidacy off the ground and to the probable nomination, Barack's decision to rely on small donors strips MO of their ability to control the candidate. It seems to supply him with enough cash that MO's fades in significance.
Somebody is running this guy....and they aren't going to take losing the ability to influence his decisions lightly!!!

Aw, after losing a large chunk of their membership for endorsing a PRIMARY candidate, now they’re realizing they might have been manipulated by a fraudster? Great foresight there.
When you make a promise to the rabid left to win the primary fight—they don’t want you going back to the center to win the election.
