Psalm 100: 4b, 5
Be thankful unto Him,
and bless His Name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting;
and His truth endureth
to all generations.
We confess that we serve the One, True God Whose Name is Love. Greater love hath no man than that which You have provided us through the gift of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. We offer our praises to You for Your faithfulness and for the many blessings You have showered upon us. You have taught us that our personal happiness is directly related to the level of gratitude we hold in our hearts. Help us to be truly thankful, Father, for we live in the greatest nation in the world, and we serve You---our Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and King. We thank You for providing for us so magnificently, for we know that You are protecting us as we battle against the forces of evil that seek to destroy us.
Thank You for blessing us with a President who loves You and seeks to honor You. Silence his critics who irrationally belittle him and who attempt to undermine his authority. Father, he has asked for our prayers, and he knows that You are the Source of his strength. We pray that he would continue to be a mighty witness for You, and that he would fearlessly lead this nation with integrity and honor. Give him great boldness in his final months in office and help him to know that You will always lead him in the path he should follow.
Father, we ask You to help the people of this nation to choose leaders who respect life and stand in defense of the unborn. May we never elect a president who would act in disobedience to You by defending the right to destroy the lives of Your most innocent. Dear God, open the eyes of American citizens. Touch our hearts and minds with Your love. Help us to live in obedience so that we may never choose those who support such evil in America or any other nation.
Reward our military men and women with many blessings, Lord, for we are grateful for the sacrifices they are making for their nation. May the time they spend away from their loved ones be profitable in allowing them to learn to know You better. Protect them as they go about their duties, and help them to rely upon You for all they need.
Lord, though we have strayed far from You as a nation, we pray that You would be merciful to us and bless us, and cause Your face to shine upon us. We need You, Father. May the Word of God be honored in this nation, and may we may turn our hearts to You as we seek that which You want for us, and not our own wills. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Please join us in prayer.
Amen. May God the Father of Mercies bless and guide your President.
Amen & Amen!!!!! “Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD! Praise ye the LORD!” (Psalm 150:6)
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He hath chosen for His inheritance. “ (Psalm 33:12)
May we continue to pray for our President, and all those in authority. (Romans 13:1-7)
God heeded their prayer because they put their trust in Him. - I Chronicles 5:20
Amen.
Blessings to you, fieldmarshaldj. Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for our President and troops.

When Mike Marolt is out of town, he remotely accesses the computer and files in his Aspen, Colorado, office. On a recent overseas trip, Marolt answered e-mails and kept in touch with his clients by using his laptop through a satellite phone hookup. This time, however, he was sitting in a base camp tent at 21,000 feet on the side of Mt. Everest. These days even that doesnt surprise us because we have become used to the technology that provides access to the rest of the world anytime, anywhere.
We can easily develop a similar lack of amazement toward prayer. Talk to God? Of course. We dont have to wait in line, enter a building, or wear nice clothing. We can pour out our hearts to the Lord anytime, anywhere. Its easy to lose the wonder of that because it has become so familiar.
Paul always seemed to marvel at the door opened wide into the presence of God. In Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ, he wrote. For through Him we both [Gentiles and Jews] have access by one Spirit to the Father (Eph. 2:13,18).
The door is open for everyone. God welcomes all who come by faith. Through Christ we can enter His presence anytime, anywhere. Amazing!
Beautiful message, Mayor. Thank you for your faithfulness in sharing these daily meditations.
Amen.
I try, some days the thread gets posted after I leave for the day and some days I have already reformatted for the next day. But, I do my best to keep up with ya’s. : )
I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration, the election and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
'Praised be the Lord out of Zion.' (Ps.135:21)
