Only surpassed by your non-response. LOL!
Any time you get the real story and want to get back to me, feel free.
Your responses evidence a level of academic achievement and capability not quite up to reading a book or doing any substantive research on a subject, so we’ll just leave it at this.
Now run on back to the playground, lightweight. And no, it is not my responsibility to expend effort to do research for you. That would be your responsibility, one that you clearly have rarely lived up to, hence your simplistic, sophomoric views on complex issues. I steered you towards a Pulitzer Award writer and a book that clarifies the criminal activity engaged in by Milken, Ivan Boesky, and the rest of that band of weasels. If you don’t want to look into it on your own, blame yourself for your ignorance, not others.
caldwell introduced george bush at the 2000 republican convention.
Thank you
Here are some charges he plead gulty to.
On April 24, 1990, Milken pled guilty to six securities and reporting felonies in 1990:[1] Conspiring with Boesky to trade on inside information. Aiding and abetting the filing of a false tax return. The charge relates to Boeskys false 13d statement. Using Boesky to conceal the true ownership of MCA stock, hiding the fact that Milken's client Golden Nugget Companies was selling MCA. Aiding and abetting Boesky in filing false SEC statements in their illegal scheme to help a client take over the Fischbach Corporation. Committing mail fraud in his scheme to defraud the investors of the Finsbury Fund, a junk-bond mutual fund. Milken and an associate inflated the prices that Finsbury paid for junk bonds to increase his commissions. Aiding and abetting the evasion of regulatory capital requirements. As part of his plea, Milken agreed to pay $200 million in fines. At the same time, he agreed to a settlement with the SEC in which he disgorged $400 million, to be paid to shareholders who had been hurt by his actions. He also accepted a lifetime ban from any involvement in the securities industry.
2 years was a slap on the wrist.
Thanks for the details and the clarification, am452. Stewart’s book “Den of Thieves” was a devastating indictment of these guys, and yes, two years was at most, a slap on the wrist. But unfortunately, white collar crime gets the soft sentence deal far too often.
Because this pastor is obviously a socialist at best, or a communist at worst. Bush is neither.
“Bush is neither.”
I don’t what labels to use to describe Boosh, but definitely not conservative, constitutionalist, Christian, in favor of limited government, pro-original intent, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-Sovereignty, anti-globalist. So I guess I’m not surprised that he’s comfortable being associated with a far leftist pastor.
Ultimately, it is God who judges who is Christian and who is not. I've seen nothing from Bush that would cause me to believe he is not a Christian. In fact, he's given every indication that he is from my perspective.
As to conservative, no, Bush isn't a hard conservative. He is on some issues, but not on all. I don't know what you mean by 'constitutionalist' since that seems to mean different things to different people, so I won't even try to address that.
So I guess Im not surprised that hes comfortable being associated with a far leftist pastor.
Actually, as others have pointed out to me on this thread since my original post, this pastor is not Bush's pastor.
“Actually, as others have pointed out to me on this thread since my original post, this pastor is not Bush’s pastor.”
I didn’t say that he was...I said that he was associated with Caldwell - didn’t he speak at both Boosh inaugurations, in addition to the wedding?
Whether it is far leftist pastors, or Fabian socialist globalists like Tony Blair, Bush appears to be friendly with and surround himself with men and women whose foundational worldviews are greatly at odds with most conservatives.
