The "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign is not certified as authentic and appears to be a photoshopped fake.

Janice Okubo, Director of Communications of the State of Hawaii Department of Health, told Israel Insider: "At this time there are no circumstances in which the State of Hawaii Department of Health would issue a birth certification or certification of live birth only electronically." And, she added, "In the State of Hawaii all certified copies of certificates of live birth have the embossed seal and registrar signature on the back of the document."
So if he were registered as being born in Hawaii, Barack Obama -- because only he or another member of his immediate family could by law request a "Certification of Live Birth" -- must have a certified paper copy, with embossed stamp and seal, or he could request one. But what his campaign has put forward as genuine, according to the senior spokesman in the relevant department of the State of Hawaii, is not in fact a certified copy. It is not valid.
The Obama campaign, however, continues to flaunt the unstamped, unsealed, uncertified document -- notably in very low resolution -- on its "Fight the Smears" website, with campaign officials vowing that it's authentic, sending the image around as "proof" to reporters, and inviting supporters to refer to it as they battle against supposed distortions and calumnies against their candidate. However, the campaign refuses to produce an authentic original birth certificate from the year of Obama's birth, or even a paper version with seal and signature of the "Certification of Live Birth." Nor has it even published an electronic copy with the requisite embossed seal and signature.

You could be right.... maybe Hillary knows too and she is waiting till the convention, then will have someone else “out” the proof..... then she can step in and save the day for the party and agree to take over as the candidate.
Y’know, I’m sure that any two-bit detective could check on the existence of a birth certificate in public records. Hell, you could probably even do it using the Internet.
As long as we are speculamentating here, how about this?
If Obama was born in Kenya, as some of his relatives claim, what if his momma never filed the proper paperwork to “naturalize” him. We do know she was very young, and probably didn’t really understand the importance of going through all that boring stuff, right?
Suppose he is now actually an “illegal alien”, because of a lack of due diligence on her part? I almost could feel sorry for the poor guy, but wonder what he did to register with Selective Service when he turned 18.
Then again, maybe mom thought she was doing him a favor by getting him into the country without proper “certificates”, so he wouldn’t have to register when the time came, what with the Vietnam debacle and all.
Could he have used a phony certificate to get through all the hoops, and his entire past is based on a “fraudulent” certificate of “filing”, and no-one ever thought to question it?
Of course, I am just wondering around, totally outside of the pen. Maybe someone should chase me down with a tranquilizer dart, or whatever they do for a loose loon...

The problem is that I think Birth Certificates are NOT public record. I think I remember someone recently getting arrested for hacking into the passport data base to obtain Obama's passport?

If there is nothing official on state record, then what does that tell us?
It tells us that the only thing ever published on Obama's birth was a falsified document (and a sloppily created one at that).
I see Obama for what he truly is: A fraud, liar and deceiver. Why else would his camp publish deceit and expect us to take it as fact?
Is/was Obama’s mom a US citizen? Was she born in the US or it’s territories? How many parents is required for a child to become a citizen? Does a child have to be born in the US or it’s territories to be a ‘naturalized citizen’? Has the Courts spoken to requirements about ‘naturalized citizenship’ for persons born outside the US or it’s territories?
Questions to ponder, maybe or maybe not.

This sounds like a 2008 version of Dan Rather's fake documents on a Remington typewriter. In this case, there were no LASER forms in 1961.

Only advisors and elite units like the Green Berets were sent to Vietnam prior to the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1964. If he were born overseas and entered the US as newborn, it would have been months before the Cuban Missle Crisis in October 1962. The buildup in Vietnam was 3 years away. Why in 1961 or 1962 would his mother be trying to help him avoid a draft that wouldn’t become unpopular for another 5 or 6 years?
Obama was born Aug. 4, 1961. President Kennedy reached an accord to dismantle the missiles on Oct. 28, 1962.

Could the blacked out serial number come from a much later date when the certificate changed? ...perhaps a father's name added? ...or the babies name changed?
Both would be legal, but would probably reset the certificate number to the time in the numeric sequence when the change occurred.
Perhaps it is simply not a 1961 series number?
