The "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign is not certified as authentic and appears to be a photoshopped fake.

Janice Okubo, Director of Communications of the State of Hawaii Department of Health, told Israel Insider: "At this time there are no circumstances in which the State of Hawaii Department of Health would issue a birth certification or certification of live birth only electronically." And, she added, "In the State of Hawaii all certified copies of certificates of live birth have the embossed seal and registrar signature on the back of the document."
So if he were registered as being born in Hawaii, Barack Obama -- because only he or another member of his immediate family could by law request a "Certification of Live Birth" -- must have a certified paper copy, with embossed stamp and seal, or he could request one. But what his campaign has put forward as genuine, according to the senior spokesman in the relevant department of the State of Hawaii, is not in fact a certified copy. It is not valid.
The Obama campaign, however, continues to flaunt the unstamped, unsealed, uncertified document -- notably in very low resolution -- on its "Fight the Smears" website, with campaign officials vowing that it's authentic, sending the image around as "proof" to reporters, and inviting supporters to refer to it as they battle against supposed distortions and calumnies against their candidate. However, the campaign refuses to produce an authentic original birth certificate from the year of Obama's birth, or even a paper version with seal and signature of the "Certification of Live Birth." Nor has it even published an electronic copy with the requisite embossed seal and signature.

The Constitution defines the law on this question--it is the "natural born" rule. Neither the Senate nor the Congress can modify operation of this rule. A Constitutional inquiry on the question of whether an individual is "natural born" for this purpose looks at what the Constitution means when it uses this term.
It doesn't look at what the Senate or anyone else says the term means--it looks only at what the founders meant.
The Citizenship statute was enacted to address the citizenship issue; not the question of eligibility to serve as President. We have decided to permit some persons, not born in the USA to be citizens; but doing so is not a determination that they are "natural born" citizens within the meaning of the Constitutional provision for eligibility to serve as president--and we couldn't do that as a matter of law anyway unless we want to amend the Constitution.

Why does a Daily Kos Diary writer, Democratic Party activist, and Obama supporter have two fake Hawaii Certifications of Live Birth posted to his Photobucket.com image album? Perhaps Jay Mckinnon, who appears on numerous progressive blogs under the screen name opendna and describes himself as a former federal officer and trained document expert for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) can explain the forged documents. One of the forgeries is appropriately labeled “Haye I.B. Aphorgerie” under CHILD’S NAME and the other is blank except for the same time (7:24PM) and Island of Birth (Oahu) as found on Obama’s suspect Certification of Live Birth. These forged documents were discovered in his photobucket.com album shortly after Daily Kos posted the alleged Obama Certification. Particularly interesting is the fact that neither of these fake documents displays the reversed time stamp found on the proffered Obama alleged Certification. The mostly blank certificate is thus perfect for the creation of a forgery. What follows below raises the question: is there a link between these forged documents and Barack Obama’s Certification of Live Birth posted at Daily Kos and on the Obama Campaign Website?
As a former broadcast news director and investigative journalist, I am cognizant of the importance of full documentation. So, in spite the fact that it may make reading this a little tedious, I am providing links to all of the information which follows. If this is true then maybe that is why the Republicans won't touch Obama's intelligibility. And to go a step further, then if at the Dem. convention Hillary points out Obamas intelligibility, then points to McCain and says he is intelligible too...... then the Hilldabeast wins the election with no votes necessary...... horrors!

So you are saying that Obama wasn’t born in HI but somewhere else outside the US and it’s territories, correct? It would appear to me that if he was born in HI a state of the US he would be a natural born citizen regardless of the parents citizenship.....
It’s been argued many ways I know but I don’t read the 14th Amendment Sec. 1 saying anything about the parents being citizens or how many have to be.

Remember when there was the odd file-tampering last year of the passport records?
With my wife's help, it took me until the time of my post to compile it and post it, durring a SEVERE thunderstorm we were having from about 3:45 until about 5:30, which killed ALL the power in the house less than 15 seconds after I posted.
When I "rebooted" after the power came back on, I started at the top of the thread, where I had left off before my "hasty" post, and found out there were a TON of Freepers who had already mentioned what it took me an hour and ten minutes to "create". The Ultra Sonic #18 post, Sand Rat's #12 post, were just the First of MANY others who pretty much made my effort pretty redundant.
Oh well, I DID learn a few new Photoshop, and Power Point "tricks" from my wife!!!

The real issue is WHY doesn’t Obama put all this to bed and show his original birth certificate to reporters and sign permission for them to get a copy directly from Hawaii.
He could dispel all the speculation once and for all.
So why isn’t he letting us see the original?
The only conclusion one can come to, is that he determined that truth is much worse for him, than all these speculations.
