An important prediction available from the RC theory states that there will be a major drop in the sun's activity measured by an historic reduction in sunspots and other indicators of the sun's behavior. Accompaning this lower state of the sun called a 'solar minimum' by the solar physics community, will be a prolonged cold era according to the SSRC. This next climate change to many years of a slowly cooling Earth environment, is predicted by the SSRC to begin within the period 2010 to 2021 with lowest temperatures during the bottom around the year 2031. The SSRC refers to this dramatic change in climate as a 'solar hibernation' because of the depths of cold that are associated with it based upon many hundreds of years of repeating cycles with similar recorded cold eras, as discovered by the SSRC.
This coming solar minimum has now been confirmed by direct observations of the sun's behavior and has been announced separately by other leading scientists and NASA (though on a differing schedule).

We’ve had two different *cold* weather temperatures broken in the past month, with two different towns recording the coldest temperatures ever for the date.
That's been happening forever, whether all humans like it or not.

News Flash: the climate changes! It always has and it’s going to do it again. And the sun has much more influence on the climate than little ol’ us.
Took them long enough, the world has been in a cooling trend for 10 years.

Gore is way ahead of the curve on this one, increasing his energy consumption and carbon “footprint” by 10% this past year, doing his part to warm the planet.
Color me cynical. This is a recently-formed, little-known research organization staffed by less than stellar scientists. No matter that they may be considered prophetic in a few years, at the current time I predict they will be ignored by the MSM or ridiculed by them.
According to a book I am reading Ice Ages occur at a relatively consistent rate. Therefore we are in line for another one at any time. Whatever “Global Warming” we might have is saving our butts by forestalling the ice. Pure Providence of God,not the catastrophe that Gore, the Devil’s son predicted.
Meanwhile the donks are preventing us from drilling for oil, building nukes, building clean coal generators, etc., etc.

The thing that's driving me the most nuts about this whole situation is the AGW proponents’ reaction to the cooling trend. “Global warming is causing the cooling! We need to do MORE!” and my favorite, “Isn't it interesting how the Universe counters the damage we've done!”
Never mind almost a half a million years of ice core samples and 8,000 years of tree ring data showing that we've had *many* warming and cooling trends. Never mind historical data describing the cooling and lack of sunspots. No, *we're* the problem.
It's the height of hubris to choose a global temperature within your own lifetime and declare it to be the perfect temperature for *all* time.
Right now I don't know if these people are egotistical or just plain stupid.
The pressure’s on Congress to go nuclear and to drill. The hike in gas prices may have been a blessing in disguise.

If you look at the charts for the real long term (going back 500,000 years or so) - we have had a relatively long interglacial period compared to the others that our recorded in the ice cores. About 8,000 years long (which also is about the same time as “civiliazation” —— hmmmmm!)
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this “cool” period is really the start of the next last glacial period (mastadons, saber tooth tigers, that kind of stuff), and not just a “minimum”. But lets hope it is not too severe. Although I suppose the “greenies” would think it was great that the polar bear habitat now included Chicago.
Central California just broke all sorts of record high overnight minimums this week. Records were broken by 5 degrees or more in lots of places.

Sorry for being skeptical, but I just think anyone who KNOWS FOR SURE how the weather will be in 50 years is kind of, sort of, full of it....especially Al Gore.
The Central Valley can get brutally hot sometimes during the summer. Overall we appear to be experiencing a mixed bag summer. Cold in some places, while hot in others. Next summer may be a different story, depending on how brutal our winter will be. If solar cycle 24 remains stalled, we could enter another La Nina or at least have lots of precipitation in the same places where it occurred last winter.
