Global warming has ended - a new climate era of pronounced cold weather has begun.
Space and Science Research Center ^ | July 1, 2008 | Space and Science Research Center

Posted on 07/10/2008 10:16:24 PM PDT by Marie

An important prediction available from the RC theory states that there will be a major drop in the sun's activity measured by an historic reduction in sunspots and other indicators of the sun's behavior. Accompaning this lower state of the sun called a 'solar minimum' by the solar physics community, will be a prolonged cold era according to the SSRC. This next climate change to many years of a slowly cooling Earth environment, is predicted by the SSRC to begin within the period 2010 to 2021 with lowest temperatures during the bottom around the year 2031. The SSRC refers to this dramatic change in climate as a 'solar hibernation' because of the depths of cold that are associated with it based upon many hundreds of years of repeating cycles with similar recorded cold eras, as discovered by the SSRC.

This coming solar minimum has now been confirmed by direct observations of the sun's behavior and has been announced separately by other leading scientists and NASA (though on a differing schedule).

We’ve had two different *cold* weather temperatures broken in the past month, with two different towns recording the coldest temperatures ever for the date.

It's time for our little star to take a nap now.

That's been happening forever, whether all humans like it or not.

Dancing, human sacrifice, "running for climate change" and all other moonbat schemes have no effect.

Too bad we can't get the nut jobs to hibernate for a while.

Oh no he won’t. He’s already “mesmerized” us with a new term called “climate change” instead of “Global warming” so this idiot will still feel relevant.

From their press page:

“After an exhaustive review of a substantial body of climate research, and in conjunction with the obvious and compelling new evidence that exists, it is time that the world community acknowledges that the Earth has begun its next climate change. In an opinion echoed by many scientists around the world, the Space and Science Research Center (SSRC), today declares that the world’s climate warming of the past decades has now come to an end. A new climate era has already started that is bringing predominantly colder global temperatures for many years into the future. In some years this new climate will create dangerously cold weather with significant ill-effects world wide. Global warming is over – a new cold climate has begun.”

Go to the link from post #5. They’re talking about the sun and *normal* climate variations. The Dalton Minimum, Maunder Minimum... I think the next one should be called the Gore Minimum.

News Flash: the climate changes! It always has and it’s going to do it again. And the sun has much more influence on the climate than little ol’ us.

Took them long enough, the world has been in a cooling trend for 10 years.

San Diego had the coldest year on record last year.

The Earth has been getting MUCH Colder, ice age preceding
drops in temperatures, the past year and a half , for all of 2007 and for all of 2008.

So why isn’t the liberal mainstream media reporting that? And why are Democrats AND the media still saying that global warming is real?

http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/global_warming_ice_age/2008/04/24/90591.html
Disconcerting as it may be to true believers in global warming,” he explains, “the average temperature on earth has remained steady or slowly declined during the past decade, despite the continued increase in the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide, and now the global temperature is falling precipitously.

“All four agencies that track earth’s temperature [the Hadley Climate Research Unit in Britain, the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, the Christy group at the University of Alabama, and Remote Sensing Systems Inc in California] report that it cooled by about 0.7 C in 2007.” This, he says is “the fastest temperature change in the instrumental record and it puts us back where we were in 1930. If the temperature does not soon recover, we will have to conclude that global warming is over.”

A smaller supply will be chasing the same demand. That's a buy opportunity.

According to a book I am reading Ice Ages occur at a relatively consistent rate. Therefore we are in line for another one at any time. Whatever “Global Warming” we might have is saving our butts by forestalling the ice. Pure Providence of God,not the catastrophe that Gore, the Devil’s son predicted.

As noted above, they aren't the only ones saying this.

I do agree that they'll be ignored or ridiculed by the MSM.

The thing that's driving me the most nuts about this whole situation is the AGW proponents’ reaction to the cooling trend. “Global warming is causing the cooling! We need to do MORE!” and my favorite, “Isn't it interesting how the Universe counters the damage we've done!”

Never mind almost a half a million years of ice core samples and 8,000 years of tree ring data showing that we've had *many* warming and cooling trends. Never mind historical data describing the cooling and lack of sunspots. No, *we're* the problem.

It's the height of hubris to choose a global temperature within your own lifetime and declare it to be the perfect temperature for *all* time.

Right now I don't know if these people are egotistical or just plain stupid.

OOOHHHH kay... here in Alaska the summer has been cool (highs in the low 70s, night time temps in the 50s) and rainy. On the other hand, last winter was rather mild, no super-deep cold. So what does this mean?
During the last major ice age, central Alaska was in an ice-free pocket.

“It’s the height of hubris to choose a global temperature within your own lifetime and declare it to be the perfect temperature for *all* time.”

If you look at the charts for the real long term (going back 500,000 years or so) - we have had a relatively long interglacial period compared to the others that our recorded in the ice cores. About 8,000 years long (which also is about the same time as “civiliazation” —— hmmmmm!)

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this “cool” period is really the start of the next last glacial period (mastadons, saber tooth tigers, that kind of stuff), and not just a “minimum”. But lets hope it is not too severe. Although I suppose the “greenies” would think it was great that the polar bear habitat now included Chicago.

Charlotte temperature hits 123-year low

The temperature at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, North Carolina was 56 at about 5:30 a.m., breaking the July 2 record of 58, set in 1885. The normal low for this time of year is 70.

http://www.charlotte.com/news/story/695929.html

AND

Huge amounts of snow in the Rockies – in July! - “Loop Road in Lander, WY is normally open before Memorial Day,” says reader Thomas Morstad. “This year it’s still not open because of snow. Again, nature did not watch/read and obey the Global Warming Catastrophe.”

Going-to-the-Sun road, which connects the two sides of Glacier National Park and is usually open by the first week of June, remains closed because huge amounts of snow still blanket the Northern Rockies high country. (In part because Montana had record snowfalls this year.)

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/02/us/02snow.html?hp

We’ll see. If the sun keeps napping we’ll be in for a very long, harsh winter.

I just read a big story on Communized health care in the latest American Spectator. I’ve been depressed for two days.

It looks inevitable. It will make life a living hell almost immediately. And we will never get rid of it, except by revolution.

Why is it a monstrous crime for Bush to listen to a couple of phone calls of terrorists, but “social justice” if the government has custody of my entire medical history?

I am especially sickened by the fact that the U.S. Catholic bishops are supporters of Communized health care.

I would never advocate blowing up any building, but if someone said he was going to blow up something, and there was no way to stop him, I know which one I would tell him to blow up.

The Central Valley can get brutally hot sometimes during the summer. Overall we appear to be experiencing a mixed bag summer. Cold in some places, while hot in others. Next summer may be a different story, depending on how brutal our winter will be. If solar cycle 24 remains stalled, we could enter another La Nina or at least have lots of precipitation in the same places where it occurred last winter.

There is no telling where the delusion that the global warming crowd ended the warming cycle with their carbon schemes will take us.

Its fun to read the comments and comedy. I like the “Gore-Hansen Minimum”. Unfortunately, the alarmists can easily spin around on a dime, predict the dire consequences of “Global Cooling”, ignore the fears of warming, and continue on as if the last three decades never happened. There will be predictions of famine and death from crop failures, frozen heartland wheat fields, and a world without summers. The solutions will be the same: world government control of energy, and taxes.
