She wrote a terrific biography titled “Scarlett O'Hara’s Younger Sister”. All about her Hollywood years and marriages to Charles Vidor, John Huston and Artie Shaw.
She did not lead a dull life.

If they scatter her ashes she’ll really be gone with the wind.

Yes, they did how to light a set. Nowadays the new Hollywood guys are just light in the loafers.

I must say that, in the 40's and 50's Hollywood showed some real class and style. True Ladies and Gentlemen...a delight to watch them on the silver screen or in private.
Today?...total depravity, sad to say.

Sad, but at 91 she got her nickle’s worth. God bless her, and my prayers for those who loved her.

Evelyn Keyes was married to John Huston from 1946 to 1950. She has one son, Pablo, from her marriage to Huston. In his autobiography, he writes of how he found the boy while making
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre in Mexico. After finding out the boy was homeless and an orphan, he adopted him and brought him back to the USA, unbeknownst to Evelyn. He met her at the airport and shocked her by introducing her to their new son. Evelyn, who 'was not going to spend her life raising other lives' was not pleased. Pablo eventually married an Irish girl, had three children, and then deserted his family and became a used car dealer.
The last year of their marriage, John owned a monkey that went everywhere with him, even into the bedroom. Finally, exasperated, Evelyn said, "John, either that monkey goes or I do!"
After a long pause, Huston replies, "Evelyn, my dear, it is you."

I believe that Olivia de Havilland (Melanie) and Ann Rutherford (Careen) are still living, de Havilland has resided in Paris for many years.
