Barack Obama doesn't rule out Hillary Clinton for vice president
LA Times ^ | 12 July 2008 | By Peter Nicholas, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer

Barack Obama told a potential donor to his campaign that Hillary Rodham Clinton is on his list of possible vice presidential running mates, but that her husband's status as a former president makes matters "complicated."

Jill Iscol, a faithful Democratic donor who was an ardent supporter of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, said Obama reached out to her because he heard she was unhappy about the way the New York senator had been treated by the Democratic Party and the media.

Obama replied that she is on his list, Iscol recounted, and that it would be a mistake not to have her on such a list. But he also explained that he was thinking through a potential "complication" -- Bill Clinton.

"He said once you're a president, even if you're a former president, you're always a president," Iscol said.

That suggests Obama might be worried the White House could get crowded with Bill Clinton back on the scene.

Still, Iscol hung up believing Hillary Clinton had a shot.

He picks the Hildabeast, he better watch where he steps in the Oval Office. She Who Must Not Be Named is a fatal accident waiting to happen.

Hillary would torpedo Barry’s candidacy. Half this country and many Democrats don’t care for either Bill or Hillary.

Oh yeah, Barak is a "survivor"...

Hasn't he already had a "close call" just this week?

And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

I don’t see how Hillary was treated unfairly but I am glad they think she was. Unfair, I suppose is to be defined as Hillary not waltzing in and easily taking the nomination as everyone thought she would.

This will be the last we will ever have to deal with these Socialists. Hillary is done. Obama loses, he is done. This Presidential election is going to be a Theater of the Absurd. Obama going right to make it near the middle and McCain has no idea where he is, where he is going, nor do we. They both know they want to be in the Oval Office and each are narcissistic enough to do anything to get there. When they get finished there will be far more folks under the bus than in it, bank.

Yeah . . .

And stay out of small parks in Washington at night, too.

She might have him "Fostered."

great. 4 years of those those two bickering and sniping at each other might do this country in in a way almost nobody could have foreseen.

Obama wants to keep this idea floating out there so people will continue to donate money to pay off Clinton’s campaign debts. Obama would be an absolute fool to allow the Clintons anywhere near the White House again.

The only way he would have Hillary as VP is if his internal number show a McCain win due to Hillary supporters staying home or switching sides.

Also, keeping the notion of Hillary on short list keeps the news away from his flubs.

Oh she won't be any accident. If he picks her, she will pick him -- off.

And not that the Constitution matters any to Hill, but she's likely read up on the succession clause that states that a POTUS can serve two elected terms, plus half an unfinished one.

So look for it to be Barry O, 1961-2011. Thing is, he never has stricken me as being suicidal ...

Grandmother’s and sissies run this country now. She would get the woman vote and we are finished as the land of the free and the home of the brave. Where are the freeken men in the republican party. We have like 5, and they were throughly rejected by the sheep.

Barry got a tough decison. Does he want Hillary working for him or working against him? If he does not choose her, then she work against him. But if he choose her, she work for him before she work against him.
