Obama's Liberal Shock Troops

By JOHN FUND

July 12, 2008

While he is a skilled candidate, Barack Obama's ability to surprise, stun and sweep over the vaunted Clinton Machine to capture the Democratic nomination was rooted in his background as a community organizer. He's now turning those skills to the general election.

But liberals aren't just on the march on the presidential level. This year, liberal activists are spending parts of the fortunes of their wealthy donors to transform politics at the state and local level.

In 2005, billionaire investor George Soros convened a group of 70 super-rich liberal donors in Phoenix to evaluate why their efforts to defeat President Bush had failed. One conclusion was that they needed to step up their long-term efforts to dominate key battleground states. The donors formed a group called Democracy Alliance to make grants in four areas: media, ideas, leadership and civic engagement. Since then, Democracy Alliance partners have donated over $100 million to key progressive organizations.

Take Colorado, which has voted Republican for president in nine of the last 10 presidential elections. But in 2006, Colorado elected a Democratic governor and legislature for the first time in over 30 years. Denver will be the site for the party's 2008 presidential convention. Polls show Barack Obama would carry the state today. This hasn't happened by chance. The Democracy Alliance poured money into Colorado to make it a proving ground for how progressives can take over a state.

Part of the problem is that the GOP hasnt really helped their cause lately.
McCain is the lesser of two evils, the GOP should have picked a stronger person.

The bottom line: big government benefits the marxists. And our success as a nation is being used to create a bloated government on all levels.

Which is why the GOP’s strategy to move toward the left and support big government is a mistake. Conservatives are being shut out by both parties, and our nation is suffering because of it.

Next step in the plan:

"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we have set. We have got to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded." -Barack Obama July 2, 2008

Everyone needs to take another long hard look at Obama. There was a story yesterday (Fri. 7/11/08) in the AMERICAN FREE PRESS about three members of Obama’s church, Trinity United Church, who were murdered, the last in Nov. 07. Another man, a good friend of Obama, a Larry Sinclair, told the story. Another friend of Obama, Lawrence Lessig, also has the story out. Look it up and read it...Do we really need this guy runnig the country, Obama, who has such questionable friends??

This is the biggest crock of Horse Scoot I’ve read in a long time. John Fund no less!

So, allegedly in three years time the Democrats with Super Hero George Soros as backing and cheerleader have turned Colorado into a Democrat enclave. BS.

Liberals started taking over Colorado at least twenty years ago if not longer. Liberals=Democrats. Primarily Entertainment moguls began buying up property, and building their mansions years ago. Liberals begit Liberals like disease spreads, and Voila Colorado today. Same thing happened in California, and spread to Oregon etc.

Their claim to the successful Liberal domination of Colorado as result of their efforts as “Democracy Alliance” is blowing smoke up their own rear ends. It’s BS.

Years ago a friend of mine, now passed on set a World Flight Record with a buddy of his. After 64 days of flying their single engined aircraft, setting a World Record unbroken to this day, upon landing they were approached by a producer of engine oil product to claim they used it during their historic flight. They refused to do so, but that isn’t my point.

For Democracy Alliance to claim success of the Liberalization of Colorado is similar to that oil product producer attempting to ride the fame of my friends flight record when in fact they had nothing to do with it period.

Interesting how Democrats are always complaining about the evil wealthy, but Soros can convene a conference of 70 super-rich donors to support “progressives”. Everything that comes out of the Democrats’ mouth is a scam.

And what is Soros’ game, anyway? He has no discernible principles, and he’s not doing this to be public-spirited. He reminds me of the John Huston character in “Chinatown”.

I think the Obamassiah means to set up a private, non-governmental security force to help the citizens of this Nation. Someone who does not have to go through the regular slow processes of Government, but reports through a chain of command to the Obamassiah directly, free of distractions. Who's there to help you understand what a true citizen should do or think. Education!

And to distinguish these assistants from your run-of-the-mill citizen or Government employee, they will wear a nice khaki shirt, with a nice darker brown tie... Oh, and a little cap, something distinctive like a 1930s skiing cap so you can find your assistant really easy!

Yeah, that's what we need... These guys look sharp and helpful, don't they?

The liberal takeover of America is outlined quite nicely here.

Case in point; the takeover of the Michigan Judiciary, a harbinger of what they plan for the Supreme Court.

I wish some enterprising journalist would dig up the FACTS around Obama's nebulous resume as a "community activist."

For instance, who employed him? Who did he report to? Was it the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, a Chicago alderman, an enterprising ward heeler, the Dimocrat Party, a Black Liberation church, Jesse Jackson's Operation Push or Operation Rainbow or Operation Breadbasket?

Who paid his salary? How much was his salary? Where was his office? Did he HAVE an office? Who paid the rental on the office? What other person(s) or entity(s) shared the office?

Was he supporting a wife and little children on this salary? What was his wife doing at this time? What is the general address of where he and his family were living at this time?

What was the nature of his work? Who did he report to? Where are his employment records now? Will he release his IRS statements for this period of time?

What were the geographical confines of the "community" in which he worked? What were his actual duties? Who supervised him? What were his assigned tasks in his "community activism"? What positive effects did his work have in this "community"?

I'm sure other freepers have other questions along these lines. Since I've barely heard a single word about his work as a "community activist" from the media I'm sure it bears looking into full bore. More than a lot of his history is being supressed besides his true birth certificate. Baring the truth could prove to be quite edifying.

In my opinion, cutting through his foggy resume undoubtedly would reveal just another Daleyville street grifter enjoying an easy gig mining the ghetto votes for Da Mare on taxpayer, grant or extortion money (redolent of the Revr...unnnnnnd Jackson.

"McCain is the lesser of two evils, the GOP should have picked a stronger person."

...the GOP, try Democrats and Inds., should have picked a stronger nominee, but why would they want to do that?

Interesting article. With the anger stoked by Inds., read "former" Democrats, over an illegal pay raise for the legislature in PA and $ from who knows where, the legislature changed hands to Democrat in the '06 election. Now a grand jury has indicted a couple of Democrat legislators and a bunch of staffers for paying illegal "bonuses" to themselves to the tune of a couple million bucks in the past two yrs. (Many articles the past couple of days about this on FR.) The answer from those "Inds" to the latest Democrat corruption problem is to call for a constitutional convention so they can re-write the rules. Does this sound like what went on in Colorado to anybody but me?

Shoulda,woulda,coulda...McCain is the hand we've been dealt so we need to devise our own plan to keep Obama from becoming Commander in Chief because that would jeopardize the safety of our brave service men and women around the globe. The only thing on which we can trust McCain is his dedication to our troops and his desire for a successful outcome in the WOT, specifically in Iraq.

Now that we have all had a chance to vent re; how much McCain sucks in most every other way possible, lets get out there and prevent an Obama victory. We owe it to our troops.

I think this is the part in Braveheart where the Scots lift their kilts and shake their fannies at the English Army. The facts about the "community organizer" are the sharp spears that will not be lifted until Obama is the official rather than the presumptive nominee.

That said, we should all be researching and and investigating these things on our own and be ready to roll with or without McCain and the GOP.

Leni, my understanding is that Bambi worked for something called the Developing Communities Project (DCP), which was tied to some church groups and also connected (formally or informally) to the Gamaliel Foundation. The latter is an Alinsky training ground.

I dont think the city of Chicago had a formal role in day to day operations. Whether it kicked in money, I don’t know.

I have read that Bambi made about 25K a year as a C.O., which I am sure you realize is just a euphemism for Marxist agitator. No, he did not have a wife a child to support at this time (mid eighties). He did not marry until after law school, and the children were not born until a few years after that. Malia probably in 1998 and Natasha maybe 2002. By then he and Michelle both had substantial incomes.
