Obama says he deserves re-election, job's not done WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says he deserves re-election, despite the nation's economic troubles. Obama said in a pre-Super Bowl interview on NBC that his administration is creating more than 250,000 jobs a month, the most since 2005, and a reversal from the 750,000 jobs the economy was losing three years ago. The president said American manufacturing still needs a boost and "We have got to make sure we are pushing American energy, not just oil and gas, but clean energy." Obama also said the country needed to return to "old-fashioned...

Considering the unprecedented debt that Obama has run up in this country, it is fitting that he would suggest that his fellow travelers do the same. I suspect there will be lots of boosted credit card charges. Obama's contributors Good Will, Loving you, Doo da DooDa -- watch out!
WASHINGTON (AP) — Blending politics and religion, President Barack Obama said his Christian faith is a driving force behind his economic policies, from Wall Street reform to his calls for the wealthy to pay higher taxes.

Obama's remarks Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast were his most explicit account of how his personal religious beliefs factor into his decision-making on the nation's pressing problems. The comments came amid election-year criticism from Catholic groups and some Republicans that the president is waging a war on religion following his decision to require church-affiliated institutions to cover free birth control for employees.

First the good news. Yesterday — 26 January — I watched live feed of an extraordinary event. The setting was a courtroom in Georgia and the presiding jurist was Deputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi. The case centered around and on Barack Hussein Obama's eligibility to be placed on the Georgia ballot in the upcoming 2012 General Election(s). During the hearing, 3 attorneys — Orly Taitz, Van Irion and J. Mark Hatfield — presented their witnesses and individual ineligibility cases brought against Mr. Obama. Neither Obama nor his attorney Michael Jablonski were in attendance — both having opted to avoid and...

Despite Solyndra, Obama to Boost Green EnergyJanuary 23, 2012 With a Solyndra-scandal-be-damned attitude, President Obama is expected to revive his push for new green fuel sources in Tuesday's State of the Union address, claiming that they will boost jobs and help clean the environment. Industry sources who met with policy officials at the White House last week say the president will hint at an emerging administration plan to propose increased spending on green fuel sources and radical changes in how the government and Americans power machines in the future. [See a collection of political cartoons on energy policy.] "He wants...

*snip* “She feels as if our rudder isn’t set right,” Mr. Obama confided, according to aides. Rahm Emanuel, then chief of staff, repeated the first lady’s criticisms to colleagues with indignation, according to three of them. Mr. Emanuel, in a brief interview, denied that he had grown frustrated with Mrs. Obama, but other advisers described a grim situation: a president whose agenda had hit the rocks, a first lady who disapproved of the turn the White House had taken, and a chief of staff who chafed against her influence.

Washington -- Investigators are probing whether the Obama administration divulged too many details of the secret raid on Osama bin Laden to Hollywood filmmakers. Rep. Peter King, who heads the House Homeland Security Committee, has questioned how much information was shared about the U.S. special operations mission in Pakistan that killed the al Qaeda leader in May.

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. says he didn't know former Gov. Rod Blagojevich had a brother until Blagojevich was indicted, and therefore couldn't have been working with the brother on a backroom deal for Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat. "I have said from the beginning that I publicly and transparently sought [the appointment]," Jackson writes in an op-ed piece published in a few Illinois newspapers this week. "I did nothing illegal, unethical or inappropriate." Still, a Congressional Ethics Committee last week announced it would continue investigating allegations Jackson sent emissaries to offer campaign cash in exchange for the seat, and...

This is interesting, however Chris “TEEBALL” Mathews has not reported it. Typical During Barack Obama’s tenure as the president of the Harvard Law Review in the late 1980s, at least two male student editors complained to colleagues and senior university officials about inappropriate behavior by Obama, ultimately leaving their positions at the journal, multiple sources confirm to THE KANSAS CITIAN. The men complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Obama that made them angry and uncomfortable, the sources said, and they signed agreements with the university that gave them financial payouts to leave the journal. The agreements also included language that...

WASHINGTON, DC, November 22, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The U.S. Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) most recent data on the spread of sexually transmitted diseases reveals that among homosexual black men the syphilis rates rose a staggering 134% between 2009 and 2010. During the same time frame, syphilis rates among the general population fell by 1.6%. CDC data “show a significant increase in syphilis among young black men who have sex with men (MSM), suggesting that new infections among MSM are driving the increase in young black men,” the CDC report stated. “The finding is particularly concerning as there has also...

When I pleaded with liberals to stop ignoring President Obama's failures on civil liberties, foreign policy, and the separation of powers, treating them as if they didn't even merit a mention, the quintessential example of the troubling phenomenon hadn't yet been published. Now it has. In New York, one of America's premier magazines, Jonathan Chait, a sharp, experienced political writer, has penned a 5,000 word essay purporting to defend the president's first term. It is aimed at liberal critics who, in Chait's telling, naively expected too much. Tellingly, as Chait writes for affluent urban liberals who railed against the Bush...

Obama snaps up crocodile insurance Down Under... (and Michelle gets £30,000 if he's eaten) By Emily Allen U.S. President Barack Obama snapped up an unusual gift on a visit to Australia this week - £30,000 worth of crocodile insurance. The official gift, worth about A$10 or just over £6, was given to mark his stopover in Australia's tropical north, home to some of the world's biggest and deadliest crocodiles. If he had been attacked and eaten during the visit his wife Michelle would have received a £30,000 pay-out. Mr Obama told about 2,000 U.S. Marines and Australian troops at the...

In his continuing quest to find the “real killers” of America’s prosperity, President Obama is now testing out the idea that laziness lies at the root of the prolonged recession we’re in. “Look, we in government have been going all out trying to get the economy moving,” the president told an audience of campaign supporters. “In the last two years the federal government has spent more than it ever has before. We’ve generously handed out money left and right. We’ve added new guidelines and procedures to virtually every segment of industry in an effort to direct businesses toward a more...

Talk about the ultimate joy ride. A local NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia reports that thieves stole a truck carrying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment that travels with President Obama, including his Teleprompters. Officials recovered the truck on Monday. Here's the NBC 12 breakdown of the caper: When you see President Obama speak, there is a pretty typical setup including the presidential seal on a podium, the see-thru Teleprompter and a portable sound system. Thieves saw the truck carrying that equipment and couldn't resist the target.

The 2012 Obama Campaign Season Should Be VERY INTERESTING! Simply, Where Will He Campaign? He knows he will be heckled&maybe have shoes thrown at him in Pennsylvania,Ohio and Michigan. Every swing state has primarily white/hispanic/independant voters.Florida has alot of angry Jews that want to see Obama step down ASAP!So much for North Carolina{Cancel The Elections!} Aside from Cally,New York,DC and Chicago, Obama has no place to campaign without an angry crowd awaiting to throw a few thousand commemorative plates back at his podium. (and their shoes).

If Barack Obama were president of a major U.S. company, he’d be fired by now. That’s what American voters think -- by a 52-38 percent margin. Fifty-six percent of independents think a corporation’s board of directors would have already handed Obama his pink slip. Nearly a quarter of Democrats also believe Obama would be out (23 percent).

President Obama of late is making the rounds of aggrieved Democratic constituencies. Next up, a Saturday address to the Human Rights Campaign. "Some LGBT rights supporters are hoping that Obama will take advantage of the opportunity to endorse marriage equality and to denounce initiatives that would ban marriage rights for same-sex couples in Minnesota and North Carolina," reports the Washington Blade. Probably not, for at least two reasons: While Obama has said his stance opposing gay marriage is "evolving," he has given no signal it's fully evolved since he declined to endorse gay marriage in June.

Election 2012: Hispanics, blacks and others among President Obama’s base may be abandoning him, but Muslims are holding fast. Apparently, theirs is a special bond born of shared interests. When Barack Hussein Obama first stepped into office in January 2009, he had 92% approval among blacks, 75% approval among Hispanics and 58% approval among whites, according to Gallup. Since then, his monthly approval has dropped eight points among blacks, 27 points among Hispanics and 25 points among whites. Blacks are frustrated with Obama's failure to create jobs in a recession that has hit African-Americans hardest. Discord is so bad that...

When President Obama came into office, we were assured that our relationship with Islamic nations would improve. Islam is really a religion of peace. He said the following in his remarks to the Muslim world, delivered on June 4, 2009 in Egypt. “I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress;...

In a statement on the day that “don’t ask, don’t tell” ends, President Obama briefly relives the moment in which he signed the bill to reverse the military’s ban on gays, saying he was “proud” to end it. He also adds a sentence for gay service members who were kicked out of the military before the policy ended: “I want those who were discharged under this law to know that your country deeply values your service.” Here’s Obama’s full statement:

President Obama has tried for months to convince critics on the left that entitlement programs such as Medicare had to be cut in order to save the programs, but he seems to have yielded under pressure from his political base. In his new $1.5 trillion deficit-cutting plan, unveiled Monday at the White House, Obama backed away from the changes he had been talking about for months. The Obama White House is a "hostile" environment for women even though they occupy many of the senior positions in the West Wing, according to a new book. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ron Suskind interviewed more than 200 people, including President Obama, for "Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington, and The Education of A President," which will be released Sept. 20. "This place would be in court for a hostile workplace," former White House communications director Anita Dunn is quoted as saying, according to the Washington Post, which obtained a copy. "Because it actually fits all of the classic legal requirements for...

Jim Cramer: President Obama Is ‘Hated Like Jimmy Carter’ By Business Leaders by James Crugnale | 3:18 pm, September 16th, 2011 CNBC’s Jim Cramer reported Friday morning on Squawk on the Street that he’s hearing from business leaders off-camera that Obama is hated by business leaders. “The disdain is off the charts! This guy, he is hated like Jimmy Carter!” Cramer’s candid insight came after news from anchor Melissa Lee that there was a sadness about the economy from many traders and about how The Conference Board said there was a 45% chance of the US going into recession. “They...

Attack Watch, website started by President Obama's campaign organization, was intended to be a repository for supporters to report "attacks" on Obama's record and get the facts. But its rollout has been met with scathing mockery by conservatives, who call it a second-rate version of previous Big Brother sites created by Team Obama. The onslaught of hilarity was fed first by a brutal parody created by an outfit called Misfit Politics. The mock ad repeats the name "Attack Watch" in a voice mimicking the Budweiser "Whassup" ad of Super Bowl yore and then goes on to offer examples of the...

As President Obama prepares to deliver yet another speech about stimulating the economy — this one to a joint-session of Congress (with or without the NFL game on the monitors) — it's worth reviewing the results of his efforts to date. It has now been a little over two years — and eight full economic quarters — since the end of the recession Obama inherited. It's time to ask: How does his record of economic growth in the wake of a recession stack up against the records of other presidents? The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) defines a recession...

An Air Force veteran who was discharged from the service in a dramatically quick move last week after he challenged Barack Obama's eligibility to be president says he's back in his home town in Nebraska, but his campaign to reveal the truth about the present occupant of the Oval Office is just beginning. Then, as part of his research into that issue, he found out about the many questions...

Now we know a little bit more about what Obama means when he says he plans to "fundamentally transform the United States of America." But it also goes to show that Barack Hussein Obama cannot be trusted, as he talks out of both sides of his mouth. As this video demonstrates, he tells lies to the American people to keep us soothed and pacified while he dismantles the fruits of the American Revolution brick by brick. But behind closed doors, when he is speaking to his fellow anti-American radicals, he can be quite candid about his real plans for America...

When this episode in the American saga is written, historians will note that Barack Obama did not kill the Democratic Party; he was merely the murder weapon. He represents the Democrats’ suicide cocktail of hubris and a tyrannical lust for power, the arrogance of thinking themselves above the law. American politicians and journalists have degenerated so far that it is now possible for a President of the United States to present a clearly forged document on national television and no one blinks an eye. We have an illegal President, a Congress that tolerates criminal acts, and an intentionally impotent judiciary...

BARACK OBAMA took office vowing to usher in a post-partisan era that would drain the toxic anger of the Bush years and focus the country on practical, long-overdue reforms. Like Bush, he was no doubt sincere in wanting to unite the country. Unlike Bush, he has governed in a manner largely consistent with that ideal. A lot of good it’s done him: Washington is more poisonous than ever. And as Congress courts disaster by threatening to default on the national debt, Obama must marvel at his plight. Practically a caricature of Spock-like rationality and sober caution, he’s presiding over a...

As we count down the 2nd year of Dumb0's recession and the ongoing debt crises, it’s appropriate to thank the President himself. I was actually kicked off FReeRepublic in January '08 for suggesting that I would prefer a Barack Obama over a John McCain because while McCain would lead us sleepily down the greasy slope toward Euro-Socialism, Obama would push us down in a head-long rush which might awaken independents from their ideological slumber. I was right. Herewith, then, three reasons to be thankful for the President this weekHis Laziness Dumb0 combines laziness with intellectual narcissism. By all accounts from...

When Lawrence Wright set out to tell the story of the path to 9/11, he began with Sayyid Qutb. Qutb was the chief propagandist for the Muslim Brotherhood until his execution by the Egyptian government in 1966, and one of the leading contributors to contemporary Islamist ideology. Paul Berman calls him “The philosopher of Islamic terror.” Osama bin Laden was among his disciples. The Muslim Brotherhood is the largest and most important Islamist organization in the Arab world. It shouldn’t be too difficult to get a handle on what it is up to. It conceives of its mission as a...

Featured Term (selected at random):HUMANISM Name originally given to the intellectual, literary, and scientific movements of the fourteenth century through the early sixteenth. Their aim was to base every branch of learning on the culture of classical Greek and Roman antiquity. On its pagan side, it extolled the early non-Christian writers who stressed the full development of human nature, only vaguely interested in life after death. On its Christian side, believing humanists encouraged the free use of the treasures of antiquity without compromising the truths of the Gospel. Christian humanism began with Dante (1265-1321), while pagan humanism reached its peak...

In approximately 18 months Barack Obama may no longer be President, or just a lame duck limping to January 2013. At most, he would be President for another 5 and half years. During the same period, more thousands of Jews will continue being added to the population of Judea and Samaria. Since 1967, the following people have passed away when G-d took them in His own good time: Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan. During that same period, the Jewish population of Yesha (Judea and Samaria), including the areas of East Jerusalem liberated in June 1967, have...

It's a tough time for President Obama. He's worked long and hard at cultivating a nuanced, thinking-man's presidency, and now he's getting praise for shooting a terrorist in the head? What a guttural, simplistic thing to receive acclaim for; it's the sort of thing a NASCAR fan would cheer on. It's like how Sir Alec Guinness received more attention for a few lines he spat out in some B-movie schlock instead of for his more substantial acting rolls. Obama worked long and hard on the millions of jobs he saved and created -- special jobs that only people with advanced...

The New York Times, quoting administration sources, says the president was in control and fully committed to the Osama bin Laden assassination. I am more skeptical. Did Barack Obama really want to assassinate Osama bin Laden? He probably did at some point, because he gave the ultimate order, or allowed it to happen. But I suspect the president was deeply ambivalent. It's not just his postmodern worldview that suggests this reluctance. It is the discombobulated aftermath of the killing, the weirdly botched reportage featuring such events as Cabinet members in the situation room supposedly watching a (we learned) nonexistent streaming...

Barack Obama met with the Queen of England. He asked her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? are there any tips you can give to me?" "Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people." Obama frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?" The Queen took a sip of tea. "Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle." The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?" Tony Blair walked...

We haven't been very critical of President Obama's response to events in Egypt, but the current trend in Scott Rasmussen's Presidential approval index suggests that most Americans haven't been impressed. Ever since November's election, negative attitudes toward President Obama have been softening. His overall approval rating among likely voters has risen a bit and, even more noticeably, the "strong disapproval" that is recorded in the approval index has moderated. If that trend had continued, it seemed that the approval index could even go positive. But look at what has happened in recent days:
