Who are these people who view Obama favorably? I have yet to meet anyone who likes this guy. I’ve spoken to only one person who is voting for him and the only reason they could give is that he is a Democrat.

Actually, the editorial the NYTimes refused to print was the hardest hitting piece McCain has created to date.

And here it is, courtesy of the NY Post Getting it Right.

Is McCain active in state campaigns right now. I hope. The DBM is certainly suppressing his coverage while Obambi is away to deny him any advantage, but he could be helping himself where it really counts.

"empty suit"

Did ya see the footage of Obama getting off of a plane (in Iraq, I think), walking across a tarmac, chewing gum and smirking like a high school punk?

MSNBC is saying that withdrawing troops out of Iraq after the successful surge was Obama’s idea, when of course Obama’s plan was to remove all troops before now, leaving country in a complete mess which he said was their problem. Last night MSNBC is saying that Obama and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki agree to get troops out of Iraq immediately~16 months.

Check out this one to compare to MSNBC:

Obama didn’t raise his troop plan with Maliki-Baghdad

Despite the best and very abjectly subjective efforts of the MSM, Obama continues to slide. it is because the word and truth about him are getting out through activism efforts like here on FR in the blogosphere and through email and talk radio.

We have to continue that effort.

"Obama will get a big bounce after the convention. After that the media blitz will be on."

Yeah, but how many times can the media get out their knee pads for the guy? They've been doing it for so long it's becoming monotonous. It's actually starting to have the opposite effect now.

"Faded at exactly the same time the media has pushed hardest for Obama and while he is on his campaign swing in Europe. Seems to be backfiring."

Over exposure may be working to Obama's detriment. Let's hope so.

I hope this is the turning point where McCain starts to take a bigger and bigger lead in the polls. This could be the most important election we will ever see.

p.s. can anyone tell me how to keep track of a certain thread here, can you bookmark it? thanks

At a time when the US economy and oil are the main issues, a World Tour may not be the best strategy? Kinda makes him look aloof?

Bill Richardson was on Fox telling the Friends that there was NO bias with the NY Times...the Times had every right to reject a politician's op-ed piece. Gretchen said—oh come on, Governor! Bill (in a whining tone) said—I don't know why he's whining about this. Gretchen—Maybe because half of Americans are whining about this! Good job, Gretchen.

Beckell on now discussing David Bossie's new film "Hype" calling him the Michael Moore on the right. Steve says that it's true, we know little about Barry except that he shoots a three-pointer (whatever that is), looks good in a suit and has little experience. Beckell does say that McCain should be mad over the op-ed piece. Says that neither one of these guys are very well known. Come on, Bob...McCain has been around forever. Bob says that the majority of newspapers have conservative editorial boards and pick Repub presidents so McCain will end up with more endorsements. Huh???

By posting on a thread, you have effectively bookmarked it. You can then click on "pings" at the top of the page, and you can find your posts.

Type your own screen name in the "to" box when posting to the thread and that makes it a bit easier.

BO once played a little basketball when young.

I think there’s even film of the young BO on a basketball court.

To relax and recreate and look fit, he likes to get on the court even now, when he has a chance.

It was reported that on this trip he made some “three point “shots. That’s shooting from a greater distance from the basket than with with an ordinary two point shot.

There’s a line painted on the court, from beyond which your shot counts for three instead of two.

I don’t know how much boost Obama can get from his convention when the GOP convention follows just a few days later. That might have been a good strategic move by the Repubs. Obama’s speech is big news Friday, then by Sunday they will start previewing the Republican convention. Granted they are biased but even if the GOP event gets less enthusiastic coverage, it still will be in the news and might blunt some of the messiah’s glory.

Having said that though I do expect a godlike aura to surround the Demo nominee after he has given his acceptance speech on Aug. 28. Can you imagine the adulation he will get, even if it’s just for a couple of days? He will have those tens of thousands of screaming flunkies on camera at the football field and deliver a flowery speech full of hope and promise. To Obama’s media boosters, he will be as good as elected then.

These are amazingly strong numbers for McCain. Lots of people stubbornly refuse to drink the Obama kool-aid.

McCain's support is luke warm among reasonable Americans, but the anti-Obama passion is huge. That's as it ought to be.

Obama MUST be defeated at the polls this November. Most Republicans realize this.
