Holy Father,

Alpha and Omega, Author of Truth, Immortal King, our Sustainer and Redeemer, O God of all Creation, we praise You and bless You this day; for only You are worthy. You are great and Your Name is mighty in power. Who should not revere You, O King of all nations? This is Your due: to receive honor, glory, praise, and blessing both now and evermore. May the people praise You, O God. May all the people praise You. Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom, or the strong man boast of his strength, or the rich man boast of his riches. But let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows You, that You are the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these You delight. Help each of us to be followers of the You, the One worthy of being followed, and may we be imitators of the love You have shown us.

Father, we confess that as a nation, we have placed increasing faith in our government to provide for us, to think for us, and to do for us. We acknowledge this as a sin, Lord, and we ask for Your forgiveness. You are our Provider, our Wisdom, and our Strength; and our dependence should be upon You and not upon political entities. We ask You to help us return to You---to lift our eyes unto You---for You are the Source of everything we need.

God of all blessings, we raise up in prayer Your servant, George W. Bush, and ask You to make his remaining days in office full of fruitul acts of faith and obedience. We pray that he will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. Direct his heart to the love of God and to the steadfastness of the Savior. May he overcome every fiery dart from the devil’s hand as he continues to dwell in the secret place of Your protection. We ask that in every way and at every opportunity, he would act as an ambassador of Your love and a spokesman of Your truth. May his genuine love of the Savior shine like a light in the darkness of this world.

Father, our heart cry is for Your protection of our military men and women---that You would grant them safety and great success. May their actions be pleasing in Your sight and may their experiences serve to bring them closer to Your heart. Make a clear path for the gradual return of our troops and the stablization of the Iraqi and Afghani governments.

Our God, You who love to hear the prayers of Your children, hear us this day. Let our hearts be blessed as we commune with You. May Your Name be magnified in each of our lives, and may Christ be glorified as we grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask this in the Name of our Savior, our Redeemer and King. Amen.

Faith, you are so gifted with words and their meaning. You have a way of saying what I mean. I continue to pray for President Bush. Dear Lord, how can we expect other countries to respect us when so many hide under the 1st amendment for free speech to mock him. How can we expect other countries and nations to respect us when we have so many who won't show that respect.

I pray for his family and his administration. I pray for our brave men and women in our military who are fighting to let these left wing kool aid drinking liberals spew their venom about President Bush.

I love the President and Laura very much but I'll be glad to see them come back to Crawford and stop taking this verbal beating they have to endure. Rumor has it they may be moving to Dallas. I will get to see him of that happens.
