Sean Hannity would be an effective campaigner and could help secure states like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and even New York.

We are starting to see more of Heather Wilson as a surrogate for McCain on the cable news shows.

If she keeps performing well, I could see her gathering some momentum and support for the role of Vice President.

Who’ll Be McCain’s Veep?
~~~~~
Robert Garwood USMC couldn’t hurt—actually would add some class to the whole McCain act!
Do you know how she pronounces her last name? Is it.... PAY-lin ...?
Yep. Have you checked her out? She's special -- the most special candidate I've ever seen.
OLA, you are a real conservative. That being the case, I am not real sure McCain cares about enthusiastically bringing you to the GOP.
The attitude seems to be, “where are these purist conservatives going to go, to Obama?” What he doesn’t seem to realize is that Conservatives don’t have to go anywhere. They can always stay home.
He is always touting his strategy on the Iraq war, but apparently, his strategic skills do not translate well to this election. He is out pandering to every minor demographic, including La Raza, and has not yet strengthened his base.
It is an affront to me that a Marxist like Obama can be so close to the presidency. He reminds me of an arrogant, big-mouthed child who hasn’t a clue and yet thinks he knows everything. Still, even at that, I am not yet sure I can vote for McCain.
regards, Steni
Who'll Be McCain's Veep? Who Cares?
That sums up how I feel about it pretty completely.
What little I know about her, I love her. I’d love to see her in the VEEP spot behind McCain.
Khachigian is right of course, ultimately extremely few people vote on the veep, and he’s making a political point. That said, everyone seems paranoid that the very fit McCain is going to drop dead, so people are paying a little more attention.
