'In My Gut, She's OK,' Missing Girl's Mother Says In New Jailhouse Call

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The mother of a missing Orlando girl said her gut feeling is that her daughter is OK and still close to home, she said during a newly released jailhouse call.

The weekend call between Casey Anthony, 22, and her brother Lee Anthony was released Monday night.

The conversation begins with Lee Anthony warning his sister, the mother of missing Caylee Anthony, that everything she says is being recorded and will be released to the media.

He then tells her she can reach out to local detectives and she doesn't have to go through her attorney before asking whether Caylee is OK.

"Do you think Caylee is OK?" Casey Anthony's brother, Lee, said.

"My gut feeling?" Casey Anthony said. "As mom asked me yesterday and they asked me last night and the psychologist asked me this morning, (inaudible phrase). In my gut she is still OK and it still feels like she is close to home. So, that is still my best feeling at the moment. Again, if that changes I mean obviously I'm going to reach out and say something immediately. I know mom will understand this better than anyone that there is that type of bond that you have with your kid and it's unexplainable, absolutely."

"Did you speak with Caylee over the phone at any time?" Lee Anthony asked.

"I did one time and that is actually the day that mom had called the police," Casey Anthony said.

"Do you remember when you spoke to her?" Lee Anthony said.

"Around noon," Casey Anthony said. "It was through a private call."

"Did you ever call the baby sitter on your cell or ever receive a call from the baby sitter on your cell phone number?"

"I most definitely did," Casey Anthony said.

"Can you give me any day or anything that you think you may have received that," Lee Anthony said.

"On a specific day?" Casey Anthony said. "God, a lot of the times it was through text messages. So, the number would show up even on that. I can't think of any specifics. I mean, my days are all thrown together. I at least know what the day is today but as far as stuff from the last couple of months, I have no exact time or date."

The call continues with Lee Anthony asking Casey about her cell phone and whether it has the baby sitter's phone number in it.

Casey Anthony said the last time she saw the phone, it was at her boyfriend's home. She said she is positive that the baby sitter's number is in it.

Casey Anthony Back In Court?

Meanwhile, Casey Anthony may be back in court on Tuesday.

Anthony's attorney Jose Baez has asked the court to put a protective order in the case.

It is Baez's attempt to have a shutdown on release of information including 911 calls and video of visitations, Local 6's Tony Pipitone said.

A hearing will be held in Orange County Circuit Court where a judge will decide whether to grant a motion for a protective order.

There is also a motion to reduce Casey Anthony's $500,000 bond that is now on appeal.

The appellate court wants to know by Wednesday the status of the psychological evaluations that Casey Anthony is undergoing. It could release a ruling on Wednesday, Pipitone reported.

Leave me alone with this bitch and access to electricity and I will let the world know what really happened to this little girl.

It is sad to say, but I think that the little girl is dead. This is one of the weirdest missing child cases that I have seen for some time. No one fails to report a missing child for a month. The question is what did the mother or her accomplice(s) do with the child? What was her involvement in her child’s demise?

New cement block in backyard

I don't know about this. If this tip had been at all credible, we would be treated to ongoing coverage of the demolishing of grandma's backyard. But the police don't seem to being doing much, why not tear apart the backyard just in case?

The kid is missing for a month plus they live with the so-called grandmother and all of a sudden they realize the girl is missing.

As long as laws and so called authorities let this go on, this will be one more in a series.

Plus the grandmother is a real piece of work. She can't put together two consecutive non-contradictory sentences and is functionally incoherent.

Grandma is a full-blown nutcake. You can see why her daughter would be screwed up, just look at mom. A whack job.

The grandma was on the Mike and Juliet Show today.

She said that the public is not against her and she receives tons of support.

She also told Mike that “people like him” and the media will be responsible for Caylee’s death. She said it a couple of times.

She’s a piece of work alright.

This is all so surreal. That poor, poor child. Her grandmother is more interested in covering up for her murdering daughter than finding that baby. I hope they rot in hell for what they have done with that child.

Yeah, right ... she's so tight with her daughter that when she was missing she was out partying!!! Yeah, quite the STRONG BOND there! LOL!!!

Btw, does little miss psychopathic murdered realize that she has made NATIONAL HEADLINES and that if the little girl was still alive ... the imaginary babysitter would KNOW where to return her and hasn't? Hmmmmm?

She killed her daughter. She wanted to be FREE of her and be a party animal without the hassle and responsibility of a child. It's rather OBVIOUS for those who can see.

Is it any wonder the DAUGHTER is the SAME WAY?

my guess...just a guess...

The little girl was taken by, or given to somene that is owed lots of money by mom. Mom has already told g’ma the details. The reason they won’t tell LEOs the whole story is because they have been threatened that the little girl will die. A brief kidnapping for debt went bad and after the girl wasn’t returned G’ma went to the cops, wanting the problem solved, but unable to give all the details, just like the mom. Further, I think G’ma knows what really happened, but doesn’t know WHO has the girl. Only mom knows all the details, & she’s thinking that the LEOs are gonna find the perps in their own investigation and she’ll be cleared of all wrong, saying; “I was afraid they’d kill her if I gave yout he details”.

It seems to be the only explanation as why they waited so long to call LEO, why they are so evasive, why it is obvious that mom is not telling anything other than “she is nearby”, why they insist on a manhunt, why G’ma is so inconsistant...

Just my guess though.

At that rate, she may have sold the kid outright and claimed that the kid was taken. There are a lot of weird folks out there.
