FORT HOOD The 303rd Military Intelligence Battalion will be recognized at the Texas Rangers' baseball game on Thursday.
About 100 soldiers from the unit will be on hand to receive acknowledgment from the Texas Rangers baseball team and fans in their 49,115-seat capacity ballpark for their service to the country and efforts in the war against terrorism.
An in-game recognition ceremony will spotlight the uniformed soldiers halfway through the game's fourth inning.

MI Ping
This Bn was formerly an ASA unit.
3rdACR?
Don’t know this unit. The people I went to DLI Monterey with went to Ft Huachuca, Ft Gordon, or Ft Campbell.
Excellent!
A few decades ago, this would have been frowned on.
what about the 3rd ACR?
Is the 303d MI BN organic to the 3d ACR?
Their courage will be called to the fore to sit through a Ranger’s game.
On April 16, 1982 the 303d was taken off provisional status and fully activated as the 303d MI Battalion CEWI Operations, with the mission to provide intelligence, EW, and intelligence communications support to III Corps.
It also says they started out as the 303rd Radio Recon Bn in Korea, I believe, then later designated 303rd MI Bn (Provisional). The unit is subordinate to the 504th MI Bde supporting III Corps out of Ft. Hood, TX.
what hijinx said.
when we were first stationed here, hubby was in an MI unit under the 3rd ACR...but I can’t remember what it was. Brain is disengaged today...I should be packing...but...I don’t want to look at another box. But, since our goal is to leave town by next wed at the latest...I’d better get a move on.
Good luck with your move.
You’re not headed back here, are you? (FHAZ)
Hi Baby Girl! XOXOXOXs for the Princess and the Little Guy.
Ah. Thanks. Guess things have changed a little :)
Boy, haven’t they.
Flag changes seem to follow me - I was there for the change from Field Stations to MI Brigades, and I went through a half-dozen or so renaming ceremonies while stationed here at Ft. Wegotchya...111th Mi Bde, 304th, 305th, 306th MI Bns, etc.
honestly, I liked Ft Hookachoooooooka more than the Hood...much more than the Hood. But, we are headed for greener, more northerly pastures this PCS. DC. :) Sweet. :)
princess says love you more. baby bear is fresh from the tub and very huggable right now :)
But I LOVE her the most!!!!
Kewl! D.C. can be a great assignment...lots to see and do.
And a bunch of FReepers for neighbors, too.
Well, I don’t think this event - while it is a nice gesture - is OPSEC-friendly. You are identifying a large number of soldiers who probably have security clearances - prime targets for foreign intelligence agencies. Maybe I’m just paranoid, as I am stationed OCONUS (Germany). But still.
