Very Special Prayer Request for a Baby in Need

Hello FRiends,

I know I've gone into lurker mode after being active here on a daily basis for so very long. I've come to you today to humbly ask for prayers from the very best Prayer Warriors I know. You've come through so many times in the past, and this time I make the request with the permission of a friend of mine.

She is the mother of a 2 boys and also a 5 month old baby who has Down's Syndrome. Her baby girl "G" is currently undergoing a battery of tests and they both have been in the hospital for a week or so, with more tests coming.

Baby "G" has an enlarged heart, and one of her lungs is smaller than the other. Her mother, my friend, told me the CAT scan "doesn't look good". They've been giving her extra oxygen to try to inflate the smaller lung. Her lungs have fluid in them, and the latest test will be a biopsy to test the fluid & determine the cause. This is as best I can recall from what I was told, and if something here doesn't make sense, consider it my own error.

This precious baby is still smiling at her mama and is such a trooper while the doctors poke & prod her to find out the cause of her condition. Her mother is hanging on to hope, but she could use some additional prayers to help strengthen her resolve. She is afraid as any parent would be for her daughter not knowing what the prognosis is for her.

Please if you can find a moment to send them both your prayers, especially to Baby "G". She's a precious little darling who already has brought so much happiness to her family. Thank you very much.

Update

Dearest FRiends & Prayer Warriors... this is a very brief update as I don't have a lot of information, and am without words.

I am so terribly sorry to share the news that Baby Gianna has passed on sometime in the past couple of hours, and is now resting without pain or sickness in the light, warmth and love of God's arms.

Please extend your prayers to her mom & dad, and her 2 brothers who I know wish she was in theirs. Thank you for your faith & your wonderful prayers for Gianna, her mom & dad and her family.

Very Sad News Update

Baby Gianna went to be with the Lord today and she is now free from pain and with Him in Paradise.

Please pray for her parents and family in their time of need.
