Hello FRiends,
I know I've gone into lurker mode after being active here on a daily basis for so very long. I've come to you today to humbly ask for prayers from the very best Prayer Warriors I know. You've come through so many times in the past, and this time I make the request with the permission of a friend of mine.
She is the mother of a 2 boys and also a 5 month old baby who has Down's Syndrome. Her baby girl "G" is currently undergoing a battery of tests and they both have been in the hospital for a week or so, with more tests coming.
Baby "G" has an enlarged heart, and one of her lungs is smaller than the other. Her mother, my friend, told me the CAT scan "doesn't look good". They've been giving her extra oxygen to try to inflate the smaller lung. Her lungs have fluid in them, and the latest test will be a biopsy to test the fluid & determine the cause. This is as best I can recall from what I was told, and if something here doesn't make sense, consider it my own error.
This precious baby is still smiling at her mama and is such a trooper while the doctors poke & prod her to find out the cause of her condition. Her mother is hanging on to hope, but she could use some additional prayers to help strengthen her resolve. She is afraid as any parent would be for her daughter not knowing what the prognosis is for her.
Please if you can find a moment to send them both your prayers, especially to Baby "G". She's a precious little darling who already has brought so much happiness to her family. Thank you very much.

The little ones suffering are so hard to understand...what the Lord’s purpose is, but all will be made known on that day we all stand before Him.
Heavenly Father, may you bless this child with your love and healing, and may Your divine presence be felt by those around her that they may be comforted in this trying time. In Jesus’ holy name, AMEN.

Update: Hi FRiends. My friend was having a hard night and needed to have her spirits lifted last night. She couldn’t access the link to this thread when I sent it to her at the hospital. So I printed up the whole thread and faxed it to her at the PICU where she and her own mother read every one of your beautiful prayers.. and smiles and cried. They asked me to thank you from the very centers of their hearts for what you have given them, and.. to please if it’s not to much to ask, to not stop thinking of them now. Today has been a very difficult day for the family, and they are struggling with what they are facing:
Baby “G” had her biopsy of the fluid in her lungs yesterday, as of this afternoon they hadn’t heard the results yet. Last night they had her sedated after the procedure and on a ventilator, because she was having trouble breathing, and her oxygen levels kept dropping.
Her mother told me they came and did another x-ray of her today, then the head Pediatric Cardiologist came to see them in the PICU later today. He told her that he didn’t think Baby “G” was going to pull through.
I’m afraid I don’t have any more details at this time. Her mother, my friend, is having a very hard time with this as you can surely understand. All I know is that Baby G and her family need any and all prayers that we can send their way.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that you keep your loving arms around Baby G and her family. Please tell the doctors how to treat her. She is obviously a fighter as you well know and is doing her best to live but she needs you to heal her Father. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
We do not understand why innocent children must suffer, but we do know that You are our God of healing and grace. You are able to heal this child, and we confess that Jesus healed the sick and afflicted when He walked upon this earth. Therefore, we continue to lift up our eyes to You, knowing that You have a plan for this child's life and Your ways are higher than our ways. We commit this little one to You, seeking your very best for this child and this family. We are confident that You will bring goodness and blessing to them in the midst of this trial. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Baby G was born a winner. If it’s God will that she lives, she will have the most finest of families to surround her. If in God’s infinite wisdom it’s time to call her home, then she will be in a far, far better place, and her family will eventually come to join her. They will never really lose her.

She’s a beautiful child. Praying for the peace and love of our Lord for Baby G and everyone who loves her.
We will understand someday. But today, we can only trust that the infinite Lord of the Universe does love us and that He is in control.
