FOX News (212-301-3300 Breaking News Desk)

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.

He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...

"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."

Influence the behavior you want.

I donate $50 to the RNC. Lets see if they associate behaviour with reward.

One of our major difficulties is getting traction for our ideas. The media is mostly controlled by liberal stockholders, etc.

Much of the meaningful issues is obfuscated by all the reporters. And the few that do get it on to the inter-net are not widely know to the general public.

How to get people to vote? When 2/3 of the people did not vote in the last Presidential election, it is discouraging to any real change. The same old legislators, keep on doing as they dang well please. Voluminous bills are passing with little or no real information being made available as to the body of the bills.

All the while they go about enriching themselves and living like royalty.

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I just got off the phone with Brian Wilson from FOX. I don't know how I got him, but I did. I can't believe he picked up! But he was super nice. He said they are trying to cover the story but there are a lot of problems, especially getting any video. I told him he should do a story about Pelosi being a Totalitarian Dictator who has ordered a news black out. I don't know if my call did any good but he was nice and so I am even more pumped as I return to the phone and working the email.

Fantastic! Truly.

God is able to the impossible. Let us not forget it.

When things look dark is when God shows us His presence ... so that all may know He is the one who performed it.

Glen Beck should call this a Pitchfork Moment.

From what I just read on another thread, Beck's cynical about this event. Where will broadcast pundit Beck stand when push comes to shove, I wonder.

I used to find Beck mildly amusing but after his silly ER youtube I became really repulsed by him. He seems phony and in love with himself.

LOL........I haven’t “crowed on and on about this”, I’ve discussed it a few times. Each time, never having anybody who defends what the speculators are doing able to explain how it is that worldwide supplies have risen since 1987, demand has increased 3.8%, and prices for gas in the U.S. have more than tripled in 6 years.

I’ve also never used the term “evil speculators”. You act like you have a guilty conscience or something..........a little too defensive.......LOL.

I meant the Dims were crowing on and on...I wasn't clear. Sorry.

Each time, never having anybody who defends what the speculators are doing able to explain how it is that worldwide supplies have risen since 1987, demand has increased 3.8%, and prices for gas in the U.S. have more than tripled in 6 years.

Once again...price and supply aren't linear. Look at cattle prices..and demand for the last 10 years.

I’ve also never used the term “evil speculators”. You act like you have a guilty conscience or something..........a little too defensive.......LOL.

I never said you said that....but that was what I think/thought, ( maybe I'm wrong..) you meant.

No, I'm trying to educate you. But...I can only do so much.

Lol, and you are too quick to pick up the Democrat mantra.......and attempt to demonize the evil oil speculators...!!

Once again it's the classic "rope a dope"...and apparently you've taken the bait.

Send me $10...and I will tell you if you are correct.

Ah...heck I'll do it for free.

They don't, and they won't.

Good lord.. It’s called the American Energy Act. Google it!

I was on vacation on July 22, 2008 when the bill was introduced in the House, and I had no idea that the Republicans had actually proposed something concrete. I have now read the entire text of the American Energy Act and while the proposal is less than perfect, it is a lot more perfect than the Democrat's proposal, which is non-existant.

My biggest complaint about the American Energy Act is (a) it leaves too much power in the hands of the states, which could ultimately result in local, partisan politics thwarting national energy policy; (b) it leaves the Federal bureaucracy (i.e., the Department of Interior) with too much discretionary rule-making power, and since the career civil servants who write and review the rules tend to be overwhelmingly liberal, they will use the administrative process to stall, if not rewrite the legislation; and (c) it does not limit the jurisdiction of the Federal and State Courts to issue injunctive relief, which means that the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, the ACLU, every George Soros front organization, and every other leftist, wacko, tree-hugging group will flood the court system with lawsuits in an attempt to obtain preliminary injunctions that block the implementation of the American Energy Act for years and years. Nevertheless, the American Energy Act is a big step in the right direction and we need to do our part to keep the issue in the headlines.

Excellent observations on the weaknesses in the bill. I don’t like the idea that states have so much power regarding US waters, but am not well versed on the laws of the sea enough to discuss it intelligently.

Your support on this IS important though and appreciated.

Your A Great American!
