A simple look at the crime rates of cities run by liberals will answer that question.

i don’t know about the safety of liberals, but, in these times, it’s definitely more courageous to be a conservative.

Ian Williams, writing in The Guardian in London, said "Jim Adkisson, a Tennessee aficionado of conservative talkshows, took their hosts' invective all too literally and shot up a 'liberal' Unitarian Universalist congregation, killing two and wounding six congregants watching a children's musical. Caught up in a world of conservative talk radio, he reportedly expected to be able to carry on shooting unimpeded by the spineless, gay-loving pacifists, and was surprised when they tackled him and brought him down."

Excuse me but if I recall it was a flaming liberal that shot up a baptist church in Colorado ten years ago. I can't believe this. Since when have any talk radio show hosts ever said to go shoot liberals? I can't think of any!

Someone needs to post the BS meter quick.

Of course it is unsafe to be a liberal in this country.
They should all leave now while they still can!

No, it is not safe to be a liberal.

Being a liberal has many deleterious factors, such as the tendency to believe anything anyone says, or the tendency to vote for Democrats who are bent on destroying your nation.

Being liberal causes your logic circuits to atrophy while your emotional circuits go on overload to handle the impulses. It causes you to believe in the mythology of global warming, abortion, disarmament. It causes you to believe homosexual marriage is good for society, that homeless people are virtuous and decent, that guns are automatically bad, and that wars are always wrong.

Being liberal causes grown men to wear pink, or dress like women while it causes grown women to dress like men or bag women. In others it causes ungraceful ageing and an unhealthy addiction to botox and body lift procedures.

Being liberal causes uncontrollable rage whenever you see President Bush and thereby shortens your life. Being liberal causes an otherwise healthy, privileged person to cry about being a victim of racism, sexism, ageism, heightism, genderism, whatever.

Being liberal means you forfeit all responsibility for your life and conditions around you and cause you to cry to the government for succor. It means feeling helpless and trapped in your circumstances while at the same time making you blame everyone who doesn’t agree with you for being in total control of their evil lives.

Being a liberal means you stay a child forever, like Peter Pan, but without the ability to fly or defeat your enemies.

So, no, it is not safe to be a liberal.

And didn’t Randi Rhodes the *liberal* talk show host play the sound of gun shots along with the suggestion that Bush should be gunned down (of course this was “humor” but still)?

And how about that Bill Ayers? When he bombed the Pentagon, do you think he was hoping to get liberals or conservatives?

Libs understand violence.

Every policy they try to make us comply to is backed by the inherent threat of the use of deadly violence by a government agent. Fascist bastards.

If it comes to a shooting civil war: Us - 286 million guns and 10 billion rounds of ammunition, Liberals - harsh editorials in the NY Times. I pick our side!

There is a simple answer to this question; Blacks are the single largest group of violent crime victims. They are also predominantly liberal.

Sounds like another sad, sick, confused loser who had issues with God, Christianity, his parents, and ex-wives. He was 58 years old. He should have been able to get over it, but appears to have major “issues.”

By the way, UU’s are not Christians. They deny anything Divine about Jesus, the Christ.

Neighbors: Accused shooter everyone’s friend, questioned Christianity

The man accused of a mass church shooting this morning was described by his Powell neighbors as a helpful and kind man, but one who had issues with Christianity.

Jim D. Adkisson, 58, has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, which killed one and injured eight others.

He is being held on $1 million bond.

More details as they develop online and in Monday’s News Sentinel.

“He had his own sense of belief about religion, that’s the impression I got of him,” said neighbor Karen Massey. “We were talking one day when my daughter graduated from Bible college, and I told him I was a Christian, then he almost turned angry.

“He seemed to get angry at that.”

According to Massey, Adkisson talked frequently about his parents who “made him go to church all his life ... he was forced to do that.”

I would like to believe you are right, but I worry its not that cut and dried. If you think about the forces of anarchy in this country, such as MS-13 and the many local racially oriented gangs, you will see that they are armed, organized, and motivated -- if only for their own aims. They may not be "political" in the normal sense, but they are opportunistic and if they voted, it would be liberal.

There are a ton of conservative armed guys, but they are for the most part cooperative with society, and unorganized. Organization is very important.

Think about C3-- command, communications, control. Does the average free-thinking person, armed or not, have it? Not yet.

The unfortunate reality is, that when the government doesn't act the way it is supposed to, people turn to the family, the clan, the secret society, or the gang. Our government is most easily able to find and suppress the organization of those above ground.

Most conservatives are still hoping for the best. I hope we never have to go through the chaos and disorder you are hinting at, because small arms without organization would not be enough.

Not really a new idea. Conservatives have been blamed for various acts of violence for years. Liberals believe they are special and anything that happens to them must be viewed as universally catastrophic. And inspired by demonic forces. Of course, the devils du jour that liberals acknowledge are conservatives.

I seem to remember leftist commentators say on several occasions that they wished some conservative figure dead. I don’t recall right-wing “hate radio” hosts expressing similar sentiments about leftists.

When dialog breaks down, violence breaks out.

The Left has been doing everything they can to shut down ‘dialog’ (i.e., contrary views from the Right) for over 4 decades now.

It’s a wonder full revolution hasn’t broken out already.
