Not really, when you consider IHT is owned by NYT.

“The reason for this utterly dishonest reporting is that the International Herald Tribune is owned and directed by the NY Times.”

The same NY Times who endorsed McCain for the Republican Primary.

New York Times endorses Clinton, backs McCain over Giuliani - CNN.com
January 25, 2008

NEW YORK (CNN) — The New York Times endorsed Arizona Sen. John McCain for the Republican presidential nomination over Rudy Giuliani and the rest of the GOP ...
www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/25/nytimes.endorses/index.html -

” “Senator John McCain of Arizona is the only Republican who promises to end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringe,” the paper’s editorial board wrote.

“With a record of working across the aisle to develop sound bipartisan legislation, he would offer a choice to a broader range of Americans than the rest of the Republican field.”

“”Mr. McCain was one of the first prominent Republicans to point out how badly the war in Iraq was being managed.”

O-bam has a new economy frill,
It is based on a three-dollar bill.
“Our money, says he, doesn’t look much like me,
But when I’m elected IT WILL!”

“The Lincoln on a five-spot is white,
And old Abe just wasn’t too bright,
He couldn’t foresee, a Messiah like me,
I’ll replace him with Reverend Wright!”

“Then there’s the one-dollar vex,
And the slave-master Washington hex,
So, I say no-no to George Washington dough.
I’ll mint it with Malcolm X!”

Where’s this reporter (and I use this term loosely) been? For instance:

“Perhaps goaded by the ads, Obama said last week that he was being attacked partly because he had a “funny-sounding name” and did not look like past presidents. The remark from Obama, an Illinois Democrat who seeks to become the first black president, brought a charge from a top McCain aide that Obama was “playing the race card.”

I believe the ads came out after he said these things.

Joseph Goebbels eat your heart out.

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.

Adolf Hitler

Note to the IHT: Here's hoping, eh?

You missed my earlier reconsideration of that. But it would not have surprised me greatly if McCain had indeed done that. He needs to be ruthless and on the offensive from now until November, damned the MSM.

I believe that Obama has stated that he would allow a limited amount of off shore drilling where the people want it, even though he personally opposes off shore drilling. In oher words, if the NYBYs oppose the drilling, there will no drilling. This is an echo of McCain’s statement on new taxes. Just a way to have both side of an issue.

Are they talking about the package in which they'll open up drilling and then go and tax oil companies?

As far as I can tell, this will result in a wash for the consumer, since opening drilling will bring down the price whereupon the taxation will bring prices right back up

In the end only the government comes out ahead with increased revenue from taxation.

This is only a reminder that both McCain and Obambi are, after all, government workers - politicians.

Here's an idea:

You're both in the Senate!
Draft the frickin' legislation while you can.

Next year, one of you will have to rely on your own partyto do it for you.

The media brought McCain to this funeral and they’ll bury him. They’re proving that every day.

And yet despite their best efforts McCain keeps going up in the polls. At this point the more the media fawns over Obama, the more it makes him the issue, which helps McCain.

The same NY Slimes that endorsed McCain.

The problem is that McCain was endorsed solely to lose the election. He is showing far more fight and electability than the Slimes anticipated.

Oh, they will probably make a correction in a couple of days. Of course no one will notice it and from now until election it will be general knowledge that B.O. led in this new position.

There is something very strange going on with this gang of ten compromise on drilling. It doesn’t really open up off shore drilling, it simply suggests the possibility, while concentrating on alternative sources, and Lindsey Graham supports it.

Graham is one of those compromised Senators who was given cover on the gay marriage act by going with McCain. My guess is that McCain has not said no to such a compromise, but hasn’t agreed with it either. McCain seems to be playing John Kerry, trying to take both sides of every issue.

I went over on the Harold Tribune's site, scanned down to their “Contact Us” thinking I would email them and suggest they should run a retract headline in light of their incompetent reporting...however, when I clicked onto the contact us ...it wouldn't do anything...wonder how many others tried to let them know that we are aware of their slimy tactics and are holding them accountable...this MSM we have are below revolting and crooked.
