Washington, Aug 4 (ANI): Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and their pregnant wives turned up at a Miami fundraiser for presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barrack Obama on Saturday.
Both the couples attended the orientation at club Set to pledge their support for Obama.
According to reports, the actors also delivered speeches from the stage.
Jennifer Garner gave the first speech supporting Obama, and she was very witty, clever and funny, Peoples Magazine quoted a source as saying.
She was followed by her husband Ben, then Matt Damon. The men gave serious political speeches on how the country needs change, the source said.
Best of friends, Damon and Affleck made it pretty evident that they are supporting Obama over McCain, as he is a deserving candidate and a man of principles, who would head the country towards righteousness.
For a lot of reasons, but mostly because I dont like the path this countrys on and if McCain is elected well be continuing down that same path, Damon said, when asked as to why he was supporting Obama.
The stars seemed to be in jolly good moods, and were friendly to all the guests.
Later, the stars left in a Limo to attend a party at Anthony Kennedy Shrivers Miami Beach home. (ANI)
Superficial celebrities voting for a superficial celebrity.
This is very IMPORTANT what these MAJOR LEADERS have to say!
The impact of this event could be hugh and series!
Obama has policies to
1) eliminates those pregnancies (say, if the girls made a “mistake”)
2) and those wives (destroy Defense of Marriage Act)
So there’s a rather particular irony to their support ...
Time for another McCain ad... Using Ben Affleck and Matt Damon instead of the other two bimbos...
"The men gave serious political speeches on how the country needs change,
The talent level is about the same.
Ben Affleck did direct on of the better movies of last year, Gone Baby Gone. In front of the camera he does not have much talent.
Damon on the other hand is a pretty talented actor. He isn’t on my list of favorite actors, but he is far from being untalented and there are many far worse than him in Hollywood.
Matt... Matt Damon!
What makes these idiots think they’re experts about politics? Because they’re rich? Because they’re famous? Because their “job” involves pretending to be people they’re not?
There was a time when actors were considered to be on the same level as circus freaks. Perhaps a move back toward that attitude would teach these ignorant, loudmouthed morons some well-needed humility.
And to think I used to like Jennifer Garner. She’s not a tough chick, she just plays one on TV.
Aff-leck and Clooney haven’t had successful picture in years and they can’t figure out why.
Sure, he supports their “right” to marry.
He was "Daredevil".
Dumb and Dumber
Now why ain't I surprised Edith?????
“O” Archie we better go and change our registration to Dimorat cause a washed up Ben Aflake says we must vote for Obama.
Heh...I saw the new Get Smart movie a few last month, and at some point one of the evil bad guy characters laments their plan will cause the death of the Hollywood actors....
The top bad guys says Yes. What WILL we do without their razor sharp political opinions?
I loved it. The face, the tone of voice...it was perfect. Worth the price of admission...:)
Oh, come on! “Leatherheads” was GREAT!
do not forget the rest of thye Oblahblah suporters...Blacks..Gays..Communists..Eviromarxists..Guilridden librals..welfare recipients..anti-american citizens of the planet..illegal aliens..useful idiots and fellow travelers, If I left anyone out I apologize.
That’s cool. Me and my hubby, and my neighbor and her hubby, will cancel their votes out.
Ben Affect - Matt Demon
Ah, our perfumed betters (Hitchock called them ‘cattle’), telling us what to do.
They are both good actors (Matt Damon in particular) and very talented people. Don’t forget that their Academy Award was not for but acting but for screenwriting.
However, that doesn’t mean that they have any special insight in other areas. They are, of course, like everyone else entitled to their opinion.
That implies that their women's speeches weren't serious. That's SEXISM.
I just can’t ever get too worked up about someone having a different political philosophy from me. Especially when it is someone like Matt Damon who otherwise seems to be a pretty cool guy.
And being politically outspoken myself, it would feel a little odd trying to silence someone else’s speech when the provide a product I like.
They are making McCAIN’s point!
Thank you !The pathetic hollywoodian crowd is soooo d...
I “love” them
Thanks for all of your posts on the opinions of these cartoon characters from Hollywood.
When is their next big hit movie they write together coming out? One hit wonders!
Now Jennifer Garner is dead to me. Pity. She was pretty hot.
I agree and if I were to own my own business I would keep my opinions to myself as well. But I can’t bring myself to not use a product or view a movie because I disagree with the people in it.
That said, it doesn’t look like they have insulted people who plan on voting Republican or said anything about being ashamed of the country. I don’t agree with everything the Republican party has done. That others disagree with far more of the platform is nothing new, and certainly within their rights. I don’t have to heed their advice anymore than they have to listen to mine.

Well thats it, Obama has my support too. (not)
Oh well, I still love the “Bourne” series. Can’t wait for the next one!
This is like a bizarro-world South Park episode. Totally irrelevant, but you can’t look away...like a train wreck.
That is the Obamabots mantra: McCain is just 4 more years of the Bush agenda. Its working. Of course, Hollywood is in the tank for Obama so Ben and his dLo pal Matt are not a surprise.
Regardless of what you think of their politics, it’s silly to contend that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are talentless. I don’t have any problem separating actors I enjoy watching from their politics.
Also, not only did Ben Affleck direct “Gone, Baby Gone,” he wrote the screenplay as well.
And for you Jason Bourne fans, the fourth installment (still untitled at this time) is slated for release in 2010. Paul Greengrass returns as director.
And in other shocking news: The sun came up this morning.
But Ben Affleck should be listened to because he had an affair with Jimmy Kimmel: Jimmy Kimmel, "I'm f...ing (read without the ellipses) Ben Affleck
What, no bicycles? They didn't walk or take mass transit? Oh, I forgot, that's for the little people.

LOL! Great post! I love it...
Lisa: Yeah, I warned you about that.
Blah, blah, blah. You're supporting him because he's a democrat.
Hi, we work in a fantasy world, so we are qualified to endorse a candidate for the most important job in the world.
