Barack Obama has lost ground among some of his strongest bases of support, including young people, women, Democrats and independents, according to a new ATV/Zogby poll.

The Illinois Democrat has also lost some support among African-Americans and Hispanics, where his lead over Republican John McCain has shrunk, and among Catholics, where he's lost his lead.

The net result, pollster John Zogby found, is a race that's neck and neck, with McCain supported by 42 percent; Obama by 41 percent; Libertarian Bob Barr by 2 percent; and independent Ralph Nader by 2 percent. Another 13 percent supported other candidates or were undedcided.

As far as eroding Obama's support among Hispanics, if any Freepers go to Hispanic political websites (or local political websites in places like CA, TX, FL, etc.), this quote of Obama's needs to get around:

The Defender quotes Obama as saying that, "while everyone agrees that the Hispanic population has grown, they cannot expand by taking African-American seats."

THAT would peak the interest of the female voters!

Oh too bad. I got my hopes up then saw it was Zogby. In any case, headlines like this can only unnerve the Obama camp and the Dems. The more the aura of inevitability erodes, the more likely the candidate will make errors, and maybe the fundraising will start to soften.

The word is leaking out slowly on how Barak would not even support The Born Alive Act when he was a state senator.

I know last week we had 3 christenings at our parish. Our priest implored us all to pay attention closely at the life issue when it is time to vote.

He reminded those who needed reminding that "We are a people of life."

The worship of Obama has always been a media creation. More and more people are catching on. Let’s remember he didn’t exactly finish off Hillary convincingly. He got trounced in a number of states even after the press crowned him the nominee. The man cannot close the deal, he is all hat and no cattle. His biggest blunder is presenting the voters with an “all or nothing” candidacy - he is either the promised Messiah delivering change, security and solving all the world’s ills, or he is a preening charlatan.

If these numbers hold even vaguely, it will be just as i have said over and over again. This guy is barack mcgovern and the internals from zombie's poll shows it:

The Illinois Democrat has also lost some support among African-Americans and Hispanics, where his lead over Republican John McCain has shrunk, and among Catholics, where he's lost his lead.

IMAGINE HOW BAD THESE NUMBERS MUST BE FOR THEM NOT TO SHOW THEM!!!!!!

The net result, pollster John Zogby found, is a race that's neck and neck, with McCain supported by 42 percent; Obama by 41 percent; Libertarian Bob Barr by 2 percent; and independent Ralph Nader by 2 percent. Another 13 percent supported other candidates or were undecided.

Numbers like these show zombie has slammed his thumb on the scales and still could only get obama down to just - 1

Zogby called the results a “notable turnaround” from a July survey he did that showed Obama leading by 46-36.

11 POINTS “notable turnaround” YOU BET!!!!!!!!!

“McCain made signifciant gains at Obama’s expense among some of what had been Obama’s strongest demographic groups,” Zogby said.

His findings:

-Among voters aged 18-29, Obama lost 16 percent and McCain gained 20. Obama still leads, 49-38;

The clearasil commandos are bailing as well.

-Among women, McCain gained 10 percentage points. Obama now leads 43-38; No rat can win with just a 5 point lead with women.

-Among independents, Obama lost an 11 point lead. They're now tied; Here we go!

-Among Democrats, Obama’s support dropped from 83 percent to 74 percent; NO CADIDATE OF EITHER PARTY CAN WIN WITH 83% NOW HE IS DOWN TO 74% Good night dumbo!

-Among Catholics, Obama lost the 11 point lead he had in July and now trails McCain by 15.

THIS MEANS A 26% drop. Why? The “let abortion survivors starve and dehydrate until they die” issue. It will force his Catholic numbers below 40%. = DOA!!!!!

The final stroke is that these were the responses of 1000 LIKELY VOTERS! and there is still the bradley factor.

I don't trust polls, especially from Zogby. They are probably conducting these polls in places that have large populations of registered democrats and black residents. Barry O is a hollow weakling who is being propped up by his media creators and the white liberals who want to show their superiority by voting for a poor negro. Liberals might think he's the messiah but to working class men and women he is a dorky communist who has no business running for president with a resume’ that is one paragraph in length.

Very true.

Most celebrities are harmless and you can tune them out of your life.

Obama, celebrity or not, is a very dangerous individual, who, if he were to become president, would be in your fact and in your living room constantly.

The only way to tune away Obama is to not vote for him this November. After November, he can just become a harmless celebrity like Paris and Britney and Bill Clinton.

WOW! a swing of 26 points in less than a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't get too excited about this. The overall MOE of the poll is +-3.1%, but it is probably quite a bit higher for specific demographic groups. This indicates a large change, but I'm not sure a 26 point change over 1 month is realistic.
